Borgata Casino App Brings the AC Party to PA with Exclusive Slots & Live Dealer Games

Save your NJ turnpike toll money, the Borgata online casino is now live in Pennsylvania with heaps of exclusive game offerings.

It’s a little bit of Atlantic City. Without the drive. Or the tolls. Or the crowds. So what’s not to love?

Before legalized gambling arrived in Pennsylvania, many of its citizens made the drive to New Jersey to try their luck there. They’d step into places like Caesars and Sands and the famed Borgata. They’d spin some slots and lay some chips down, hoping to return home a little richer.

And now, the circle has been completed, with some of those same New Jersey casinos traveling into Pennsylvania themselves. The latest one arrived yesterday with the launch of the Borgata online casino.

Borgata online casino arrives with big games and promotions

Borgata gamesThe Atlantic City staple is opening its virtual doors in Pennsylvania with over 150 casino games and a 100% deposit match up to $1,000, along with an extra $20 just for good measure.

The Borgata launched in partnership with Rivers Philadelphia

Borgata’s entry into PA follows that of its sister brand, BetMGM. And while BetMGM online casino launched under Penn National’s Hollywood Casino Grantville license, BetMGM Sportsbook is partnered with Hollywood Casino Morgantown. In PA, iGaming license holders can have multiple online casino skins, but only one sports betting skin is allowed per property.

And so, the Borgata found a path to Pennsylvania too. BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said in a news release.

“There are few casino brands as well-respected as Borgata, evident by the success we’ve seen with the Borgata Casino app in New Jersey. Pennsylvania marks an important milestone for us as we introduce the Borgata Casino brand to the first state outside of New Jersey. We’re confident that players in Pennsylvania will enjoy the digital betting experience of Atlantic City’s premier casino.”

What games can you play at Borgata casino PA?

Borgata’s shift toward online gambling keeps gaining momentum

Perhaps fueled in part by the pandemic, online gambling continues its impressive upward trend. PA online casinos raked in more than $80.4 million in iGaming revenue in the month of January. That figure was 11% higher than the previous record (set in December) and an astronomical 476% higher than the total from January 2020.

Borgata officials have watched this trend closely and have made significant efforts to maximize their online presence. As noted in the launch article on Play Pennsylvania, New Jersey’s online casinos have reported year-over-year growth of 168% from 2020 totals.

Even with some healthy competition, conditions seem ripe for Borgata’s launch

So now, with life not yet back to normal, it seems like a perfect time for the Borgata brand to expand westward and establish some roots among Pennsylvania’s online casinos.

Users can download the Borgata app on Apple iOS or Android devices. After that, players can take advantage of a $20 no deposit bonus and the aforementioned 100% bonus match, up to $1,000.

A complete rundown of the casino, including deposit options and additional promotions, is available here.

A little typing and a few taps, and you’ll be right inside the Borgata’s online doors.

It’s a far cry from the older days, when you needed the car keys, some money for turnpike tolls and a few hours to get there.

The excitement is much easier now. Thanks to the Borgata, a little bit of Atlantic City is now always present in Pennsylvania.

And the doors are open, just waiting for the moment when you’re ready to try your luck.

Topgolf Partnership is Latest Move in BetMGM Gambling Expansion

BetMGM is expanding fast, most recently partnering with Topgolf and planning to launch a Borgata online casino in PA.

It’s a lot like the wave

If you’ve ever been to a ball game, you’ve probably seen it before. People stand up and throw their arms in the air and then others join in. Before long, the whole stadium sweeps up in a wave that spreads across the entire crowd.

That’s kind of how sports betting is moving these days. Take the BetMGM brand as a case study.

Last week, BetMGM announced a partnership with Topgolf that will provide joint opportunities for gaming, marketing, and promotions at Topgolf venues across the country.

“We look forward to introducing Topgolf guests to the immersive sports betting experience that only BetMGM can provide,” BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said in a news release. “Topgolf is known for offering unique and interactive entertainment options, which our loyal BetMGM users can now access through a variety of exclusive and customized packages.”

Topgolf already has a presence in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania residents can witness the partnership come together first-hand at a TopGolf location in Pittsburgh and another one that’s being planned near King of Prussia.

In addition to Pennsylvania’s locations, the partnership will be visible throughout Topgolf venues in cities where BetMGM operates. Those include its Las Vegas location at MGM Grand plus Indianapolis, Nashville, Detroit, Virginia Beach, and Denver. It also includes those within the WGT by Topgolf platform.

BetMGM will also pursue branding and promotional integrations in other  Topgolf locations as sports betting and iGaming platforms become available in new states.

Beyond the BetMGM partnership, another online casino also made news in Pennsylvania this week.

Borgata Casino joining PA iGaming market soon

Borgata online casino, also owned by MGM, will launch in Pennsylvania this week in partnership with Rivers Philadelphia. The BetMGM brand is already live in PA with online casino and sports betting apps that launched in December 2020.

While the Borgata iGaming app will partner with Rivers, BetMGM is partnered with Penn NationalHollywood Casino Grantville for online casino and Hollywood Casino Morgantown (coming in 2021) for online sports betting. In Pennsylvania, an iGaming and sportsbook app do not need to share the same land-based operator.

The Borgata online casino is already live in New Jersey. It is likely the Pennsylvania entity will provide similar rewards and promotions for new players.

BetMGM to launch online poker rooms in MI and PA

Although the BetMGM sportsbook/betting brand arrived later than many others, it continues to expand rapidly across the country.

Plans are in place to launch a BetMGM online poker room in Michigan in the near future, and one is expected to follow in Pennsylvania later in the year. For now, PA has one online poker room, PokerStars PA, a site that also launched in Michigan late last month.

Gambling wave continues in the US

And so, just like the wave that forms inside a stadium, the BetMGM brand continues to grow in strength, gain support, and spread across the country.

Many other sports betting and gaming companies are sharing in similar success.

The momentum is growing.

And the energy is expanding in every direction.
