Jerome Bettis Driving The FanDuel Marketing Bus

Pittsburgh Steelers legend Jerome Bettis is teaming up with Pennsylvania’s FanDuel Sportsbook for a series of videos featuring The Bus.

How much does an actual bus weigh? How many are there in Pennsylvania?

FanDuel has recruited Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Famer Jerome “The Bus” Bettis, for a new video series called Over or Under, which debuted last week.

In the first installment, Bettis took a shot at answering the aforementioned questions. He guessed under 20,000 pounds on the weight of an actual bus (it’s about 30,000) but correctly guessed over 8,000 on the number of actual buses in Pennsylvania (it’s above 55,000).

Bettis should give FanDuel a marketing boost

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, FanDuel announced its partnership with Bettis in August. Expect to see a lot more of Bettis in FanDuel-related content, as the company vies to be the biggest name in Pennsylvania sports betting.

Last week its biggest competitor arrived in Pennsylvania just south of Pittsburgh. The Meadows Casino and Racetrack in Washington opened a DraftKings-branded retail sportsbook on. Pending approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming and Control Board, the company should open an online sportsbook later this month.

And thus, a big name and charming personality like Bettis should help FanDuel’s marketing efforts in what figures to be some healthy sports betting competition across the state.

FanDuel, DraftKings consistent leaders in NJ sports betting

In neighboring New Jersey, DraftKings and FanDuel are the clear leaders among sports betting brands. In September, DraftKings led the state in online betting revenue, according to Legal Sports Report. DraftKings helped the Resorts AC license generate more than $8.5 million in online revenue (a portion of which was produced by FOX Bet).

FanDuel finished second in New Jersey with more than $2.5 million in revenue during September. Taken together, the two entities accounted for $11 million of New Jersey’s $12.5 million in digital revenue during September.

FanDuel also led the state’s retail sportsbooks in September revenue with a total of $4.38 million.

How will the FanDuel/DraftKings competition look in PA?

It will be interesting to see how the competition for FanDuel and DraftKings shapes up in the Keystone State. With FanDuel’s retail sportsbook situated in Valley Forge, a heavy foot traffic and tourism area, it’s possible the company can maintain its position as a retail sportsbook leader in Pennsylvania as well.

On the online front, DraftKings is playing from behind. FanDuel’s sportsbook app launched in late July, likely giving it at least three-month headstart before the DraftKings offering arrives.

Expect the DraftKings app to feature some generous promotions aimed at recruiting new players once it is approved by the PGCB. And beyond that, expect some healthy competition that should provide numerous betting options for PA players.

There will also be some aggressive marketing and promotions by both sides.

And for FanDuel, they are certain to use the Bus again sometime soon.

Penguins, Flyers offer good returns on Stanley Cup

At press time, both the Penguins and Flyers would provide excellent returns if they were to win the Stanley Cup. Pittsburgh is +2500 to win Lord Stanley’s Cup. Philadelphia would pay out even greater odds at +3600. According to FanDuel, the Stanley Cup favorites are:

  • Tampa Bay (+700)
  • Las Vegas (+1,050)
  • Washington (+1500)

FanDuel also has season point totals

FanDuel’s extensive hockey posting also included over/under wagers on season point totals for all NHL teams. The Penguins season total is set at 93.5 points. The Flyers number is set at 89.5. The Tampa Bay Lightning have the highest total at 109.5.

Bettors can also wager on conference and division winners. Pittsburgh is +300 to win the division and +1600 to win the Eastern Conference. The Flyers have a division price of +1100 and conference odds of +2200.

Numerous player futures available as well

The bounty of betting options extends well beyond our home-state teams. Bettors can wager on player point totals for the season, as well as award winners and team or division-leading scorers.

Connor McDavid (+390) is the favorite for the Hart Trophy, which is essentially the NHL’s MVP Award. Penguins star Sidney Crosby is +750 and teammate Evgeni Malkin is +2900.

Philadelphia Flyer Claude Giroux is a whopping +6000 for the Hart Trophy. Giroux is also the favorite to be the Flyers leading scorer at +140. Sean Couturier is next at +170.

For Pittsburgh, Crosby is a heavy favorite to be the leading scorer at -290. Malkin (+430) and Jake Guentzel (+850) are next.

Head-to-head betting on Penguins/Flyers

One of the more interesting bets available on FanDuel is a head-to-head option based on which team records the most points for the season. In the Penguins-Flyers faceoff, Pittsburgh is -156 while Philadelphia is +128. In a face-off with the Washington Capitals, the Penguins are +124 while the Caps are +150.

There are also a healthy array of season props, including which team will have the most goals for the entire season. The Tampa Bay Lightning is the favorite at +340. The Penguins are +3100 and the Flyers return +4000.

Other sportsbooks will offer NHL futures as well

It’s a safe bet that many of the other Pennsylvania online sportsbooks will offer their lengthy list of NHL futures.

And the real winners are the fans, who will have unprecedented access to NHL betting options this season.

Winter is coming and preseason hockey has already started. The regular season begins on Oct. 2.

For players across Pennsylvania, it’s never been easier to get a bet in.

And FanDuel has provided plenty of choices.

Divine Fortune Online Slot Pays Out Fourth Jackpot In 11 Days

Divine sure is one way to describe the PlaySugarHouse progressive jackpot Divine Fortune, which has hit four times in less than two weeks.

Divine Fortune has lived up to its name once again.

Last Thursday, a new player from Lansdale, PA, near Philadelphia, turned a $10 bet into a $61,409.77 win on The progressive jackpot online slot game has now paid out four jackpots in 11 days in Pennsylvania.

Divine Fortune players are riding a hot streak

Last week’s jackpot win continues a very profitable streak for some Divine Fortune players.

On Sept. 1, a woman from Selinsgrove, PA, hit for $196,209 on a $4 bet. Thirty-nine minutes after her win, a man from Warrington, PA, turned a $30 bet into a $57,349 jackpot. And then on Sept. 5, a woman from Levittown, PA, won $30,270 on a bet of just 40 cents.

“These winners show, you don’t have to be long-time players to win,” said Mattias Stetz, COO of Rush Street Interactive, which operates SugarHouse, Rivers Pittsburgh, and the online operations for both.

“This slew of wins proves that jackpots can hit often and on any type of bet. With all of these recent progressive slot wins, we’ve seen increased play on Divine Fortune at and we expect the excitement to continue.”

Online slots are paying out big in New Jersey too

Pennsylvanians aren’t the only players cashing in big on Divine Fortune. Last Friday in New Jersey, a woman playing Divine Fortune on PlaySugarHouse won $192,949 on a $20 bet.

Divine Fortune has now paid out more than $3 million in New Jersey since the game’s release in 2017. Mega Jackpots have hit 13 times in the Garden State, leading to more than $1.6 million for the players there.

Divine Fortune is built for big payouts

Divine Fortune launched at PlaySugarHouse in July, joining the wide variety of slots, online table games, and sports betting available on that site.

Set in the days of ancient Greece, the Divine Fortune slot is designed perfectly for the jackpots that have been filling pockets and grabbing headlines in recent days.

According to PlayPennsylvania, Divine Fortune was developed by NetEnt and was the first online slots game in Pennsylvania with a progressive jackpot. The five-reel, three-row, 20-line(fixed) video slot game has a number of player-friendly features which include:

  • Wild substitutions
  • Falling wilds re-spins
  • A wild on wild feature
  • Free spins

Perhaps even more importantly, the game offers three different jackpots, including the progressive Mega Jackpot. And, as news of those jackpots continues to spread, there will be a lot more players and a lot more wins in the future.

It’s a safe bet that the Divine Fortune riches aren’t drying up anytime soon.

SugarHouse’s Divine Fortune Pays Out 3 Jackpots In 4 Days

The PlaySugarHouse online slot Divine Fortune lived up to its name, doling out three progressive jackpots in the span of four days.

Forty cents. Four dollars. Thirty bucks.

A few modest wagers brought big jackpots to Pennsylvania last week.’s Divine Fortune online slot returned three payouts worth over $250,000 to a trio of PA players in the span of four days.

Video slot transforms change into over $30k

The most noteworthy one arrived at 3:02 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5. A woman from Levittown, PA, placed a 40-cent bet on Divine Fortune that turned out to be a $30,270 win.

Two other huge Divine Fortune slot wins arrived earlier in the week

Four days earlier on Sept. 1, a woman from Selinsgrove, PA hit for $196,209 on a $4 bet. The woman had been playing for a mere 17 minutes before hitting it big.

Just 39 minutes later, Divine Fortune lived up to its name again. A man from Warrington, PA, who had been playing for an hour, won $57,349 on a $30 bet.

Online slot jackpots are nothing new in New Jersey

Divine Fortune is a five-reel, three-row, 20-line (fixed) video slot game with three different jackpots, including the progressive mega jackpot.

Although last week marked the first major jackpots for Divine Fortune players in Pennsylvania, the game has had a lucrative history in neighboring New Jersey.

Divine Fortune made its NJ online debut in 2017 and has been responsible for more mega-jackpot payouts than any other progressive slot in the state. In total, the slot game, which has an ancient Greece theme, has paid out more than $3 million to its players in New Jersey. Part of that total is due to Mega Jackpots, which have hit 12 times, bringing more than $1.5 million to its players.

Progressive slot promises future jackpots

Divine Fortune was the first slot to offer progressive jackpots in Pennsylvania’s online casinos. And as online gaming continues to grow in the Keystone State, you can expect Divine Fortune to follow suit.

There will be more players, more spins and certainly more jackpots in the future too.

And you don’t always have to play big to win big.

“Divine Fortune is a very hot game right now on PlaySugarHouse and it’s easy to see why,” said Richard Schwartz, president of Rush Street Interactive, which oversees SugarHouse and Rivers Pittsburgh casinos and online operations.

“This also shows that jackpots can hit at any time and on any type of bet. Since the first and second progressive wins last week, we’ve seen an increase in activity with Divine Fortune…and we expect the excitement and interest continue to grow.”

Correct trivia answers help you keep your money

FanDuel’s “Keep the Cash” contest starts you with a million virtual dollars. To keep it, you’ll need to answer 20 sports betting questions correctly. Most of them are like betting props.

Will the Falcons be the first team to score five points?

Will the game total end in an even number?

Will the total touchdowns be over five?

Will “Player X” score a tocuhdown?

You get the idea.

New questions arrive four times a week

There’s a new question every Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

And with each question, there’s a chance to wager your balance on “Yes” and “No” results. What you put on the correct result, is what remains for the next question.

Over the course of the football season, you have to answer 20 questions. If there’s a balance that remains, you keep it.

Can you change answers?

Yep. If you change your mind after you answer a question, just change the answer. Nothing locks until the related event begins.

Is “Keep the Cash” available in Pennsylvania?

You betcha. It is even avaialble in states without legal sports betting or a FanDuel Sportsbook presence.

How do I play?

  • Make sure you have a FanDuel Sportsbook account and the app downloaded to a mobile device.
  • Open the app and select the promos icon from the top. (It should look like a present).
  • Click on the “Keep the Cash” contest
  • Hit the “Play Now” link
  • Hit “Play Free”
  • Select a question to answer and then wager your balance
  • Answer correctly and you’ll keep the dollars in your “Yes” column

Can you really win a million?

Yes, but fortune favors the bold. To do so, you’ll need to risk a million each time. And you’ll need to answer 20 questions in a row correctly. The odds are not in your favor. But they really shouldn’t be, because it’s potentially a free million. You have nothing to lose!

You might as well start now.

Parx Joins FanDuel Sportsbook In The Apple App Store

With the addition of Parx Sportsbook to the Apple app store, Pennsylvanians now have an iPhone option for all four PA online sportsbooks.

Apple’s app store has been a formidable foe for many PA sportsbooks and casinos. But that is slowly starting to change.

This week, Parx Sportsbook app launched in Pennsylvania for Apple iOS users. Gamblers can download the app in the app store and access all the same betting lines, odds, and features as Parx’s retail and online versions.

The Parx app is powered by GAN and Kambi. Kambi provides betting lines and support for most of Pennsylvania’s sportsbooks.

Parx should get a bump from the new app

Parx’s sportsbook typically performs well in PA’s monthly sports wagering revenue reports. It will likely gain a boost from the introduction of their iOS app. In New Jersey, nearly 80% of the state’s handle arrives via online bets. Pennsylvania seems headed in that direction, too.

Parx and FanDuel only iOS apps

BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse, who are typically the leaders in Pennsylvania’s sports wagering, have yet to introduce a full-scale app for sports betting. Those entities, which are both owned by parent company Rush Street Interactive, rely on the GeoGuard app to adapt their online sites for play on the iPhone.

The Parx app interface looks nearly identical to the Parx online sportsbook that you can access via a web browser.

FanDuel struck first last month by bringing its NJ app to PA

Last month, FanDuel became the first online sportsbook in Pennsylvania to offer an iOS app in Pennsylvania. FanDuel, which already has a sportsbook app established in New Jersey, revamped that app to work in Pennsylvania as well

FanDuel is often the leader in online sports betting in New Jersey and figures to be a prominent player in Pennsylvania as well.

Parx Casino still app-less

Although Parx Sportsbook is now live on the Apple App Store, Parx’s online casino is still working on getting there.

In June, Apple made changes to its app store policies and required that apps involved with real money gaming be written in native iOS code. According to PlayPennsylvania, Apple also wants its apps to be more developed than just wrapped versions of existing web sites.

Those policies have delayed Parx Casino and the numerous other PA gambling entities that have yet to make it to the app store. Recoding online casino games, like slots, is a time-consuming process.

Parx’s app arrived before football season, but will others?

Parx managed to finish and release its app before football season, which is one of the busiest times of the year for sports betting.

Will other sportsbook apps follow suit? You can bet that they are trying.

DraftKings, which recently got access to Pennsylvania via a partnership with the Meadows Racetrack and Casino, would love to be a bigger player in the fall sports betting scene.

Although DraftKings already has a sports betting app in New Jersey, both DraftKings and the Meadows will need to be approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming and Control Board (PGCB) before it can launch.

Preseason football gets in full swing Thursday

Parx’s app is ready in time for a big slate of NFL preseason games tomorrow. College football begins on Aug. 24. Then the NFL regular season opens on Sept. 5.

With a few more apps in play and a whole bunch of football just weeks away, PA’s sports betting business is about to pick up.

Tips Ands Tricks To Preseason NFL Betting On FanDuel Sportsbook

Now that FanDuel Sportsbook is officially launched in PA, you can use the site’s iPhone betting app to start betting on the NFL preseason.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. At least for some.

Football season returns Thursday with the Hall of Fame Game, the official start of the NFL’s preseason schedule.

The Denver Broncos take on the Atlanta Falcons at 8 p.m. Thursday in Canton, Ohio. The game will be broadcast on NBC.

The Broncos are favored by 2.5 points on the newly-minted PA FanDuel Sportsbook app. The total is set at 34 points.

With the state’s first iPhone betting app officially up and running as of July 29, this is an ideal opportunity to take the new FanDuel Sportsbook for a spin. That way you are ready to go when the regular season kicks off and bettors can use PA online betting apps during the NFL season for the first time.

Backups are often the key to preseason bets

Preseason football betting is not for the faint of heart.  However, one place to possibly find an edge, especially in the first week of preseason football, lies in the backup players on the roster.

Starters shouldn’t play more than a few possessions. Thus, the bulk of the playing time will be distributed among backups. And those that perform better will likely decide the game.

Schaub, Lock are listed as backup QBs

In terms of backup quarterbacks, the Atlanta Falcons have a significant edge in terms of experience. Matt Schaub is listed as the backup QB for the Falcons. Drew Lock is listed as the backup for the Broncos. Schaub is entering his 15th season in the league, while Lock is a rookie this season.

Certainly, other quarterbacks will also take snaps in the game. The Broncos have Kevin Hogan and Brett Rypien behind Lock. Kurt Benkert is the third quarterback for the Falcons.

FanDuel also offering winning margin bets

For those not interested in traditional bets, FanDuel’s sportsbook is also offering a handful of winning margin bets. Currently, the Broncos are +150 to win by 1-13 points and +330 to win by 14 or more.

The Falcons offer even better returns. Atlanta is +185 to win by 1-13 and +550 to win by 14 or more.

Full preseason slate kicks off next Thursday

Next week, a full slate of preseason games kicks off with both Pennsylvania teams in action. The newly-launched BetAmerica Sportsbook at Presque Isle Downs and Casino will also host its grand opening celebration next Thursday starting at 4 p.m. in conjunction with all those games.

Later Thursday night, the Tennessee Titans will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Then, on Friday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Pittsburgh Steelers at 7:30 p.m.

Every NFL team plays a preseason game next week

In total, there are 11 NFL preseason games set for next Thursday, and five more scheduled throughout the weekend. Every NFL team will take the field.

Betting lines for all those games should be available on your favorite site closer to kickoff. And that’s great news for all those fans starved for some gridiron action.

Football is finally back.

The most wonderful time of the year is here again.

Even With Online Betting Competition, PA DFS Still Growing Year-Over-Year

No surprises here.

On Thursday, the Pennsylvania Gaming and Control Board (PGCB) released its fantasy contest report for June. And once again, FanDuel and DraftKings dominated the market.

Pennsylvania’s seven daily fantasy operators had a total of $1,592,313 in fantasy contest revenues for June 2019. The state collected $238,847 in taxes last month.

The state receives 15% of adjusted revenues from daily fantasy sports, much lower than the 36% tax rate used for PA sports betting.

Top DFS operators show strong gains off 2018

FanDuel finished first among DFS operators in June, producing $801,572 in revenue. That total was about a 63% gain based off its $490,039 for June 2018, just the second month DFS was operating in PA.

DraftKings also recorded strong growth on its 2018 total for June, finishing second among operators with $767,021 and a 50% growth rate over the previous year.

DRAFT finishes third behind DFS giants

Together, FanDuel and DraftKings combined for more than 98% of June’s DFS revenues.

DRAFT finished in third with a total of $13,065. That number was a 28.18% increase from DRAFT’s 2018 total in June.

The remaining DFS operators and their June 2019 totals were as follows:

  • Yahoo Fantasy Sports:$6,664
  • Fantasy Draft: $2,183
  • Sportshub Technologies: $1,282
  • Boom Fantasy: $527

Sports betting remains ahead of DFS revenues

Pennsylvania’s eight sportsbooks continue to finish ahead of DFS operators in revenue, a phenomenon that should continue with the growth in mobile sports betting.

In June, the total revenue for sports wagering was $2,056,819. SugarHouse and Parx sportsbooks are the leaders on that front. The statewide sports betting total gives sportsbooks roughly a $500,000 lead in revenues over daily fantasy operators. With the higher tax rate factored in, that produces a much greater windfall for the state budget.

How will mobile sports betting affect DFS?

This year will mark the first football season in which Pennsylvania residents have access to both sports betting and daily fantasy contests.

Can those two entities coexist? Or will the expanded opportunities for wagering infringe on daily fantasy revenues?

Certainly, online sports betting should create some sort of impact, but the products are different enough that both could continue to produce strong revenues.

DFS provides for a more specific rooting interest

While sports betting gives players a chance to wager on the outcome of a game, daily fantasy sports typically require building a lineup from specific players and set positions.

Thus, DFS players may be rooting for a Carson Wentz touchdown instead of any kind of score by the Philadelphia Eagles. Or DFS players may want a catch from Juju Smith-Schuster instead of any Pittsburgh Steelers first down. That specific nature of DFS can create another layer of excitement.

So it’s entirely possible that sports betting and DFS revenues can continue to coexist. And it’s especially beneficial from the state’s perspective, considering Pennsylvania receives tax revenue from both.

FD paid out $400,000 in bets for its customers

Thursday FanDuel announced that all online customers in New Jersey who made futures bet on the U.S. women’s team to win the World Cup were getting paid out early. The site doled out a total of $400,000 before the game kicked off. The U.S. eventually won 2-1.

“We are paying out our customers early so they can just enjoy the game and not worry about advancing,” said Director of Risk and Trading for FanDuel Group John Sheeran. “All across America fans are supporting Team USA and showing their excitement at home, at work, and on social media. So we wanted to share our Team USA excitement and pride with our customers.”

News release cites good vibes from NJ sports betting triumph

FanDuel also cited the exciting news that New Jersey beat Nevada in total sports betting handle during the month of May.

According to Legal Sports Report, New Jersey took in $318.9 million in sports betting handle in May, while Nevada had a total of $317.3 million. It was a big victory for the state that became the trendsetter in the sports betting movement pushing across the country.

New Jersey will likely beat Nevada again in the near future. And with Pennsylvania’s population and sports betting growth, the Keystone State could be tops someday as well.

FanDuel’s move should generate more WWC action

The generosity and publicity surrounding FanDuel’s Sportsbook will likely lead to some increased action on the Women’s World Cup.

The United States will now take on England at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the World Cup semifinals in France.

FanDuel’s Sportsbook currently has the U.S. as -115 and England as +320. There are a number of other betting options available beyond the moneylines as well.

The sports betting lines at the newly-launched  Rivers online site and Parx online site are very similar.

The other Women’s World Cup semifinal will feature Sweden (+210) vs. the Netherlands (+130) at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Heading into last Thursday’s game, Team USA was responsible for 85% of the bets and 90% of the handle in World Cup futures bets at the FanDuel Sportsbook.

The U.S. is now listed as -130 to win the World Cup. Futures bets made after last week’s announcement do not qualify for an early payout from FanDuel.

FanDuel has been donating for every U.S. goal

In addition its early payout, the FanDuel Group has also celebrated Team USA by donating  $10,000 to the Women’s Sports Foundation (WSF) and an additional $1,000 for every goal Team USA scores in the World Cup.

The WSF is a powerful voice, catalyst, and convener dedicated to ensuring all girls and women have equal access to sports and physical activity, and the tremendous life-long benefits they provide.

New $60 Million Hotel Landing In Rivers Pittsburgh

Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh has almost everything, but not a hotel. Rush Street Gaming will be fixing that with this $60 million expansion.

One of Pennsylvania’s strongest-performing casinos will soon get a standout hotel to go with it.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh announced that it will begin construction this summer on a $60 million hotel called The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh.

The seven-story hotel will feature 219 guest rooms and be attached to the east side of the casino facing the Carnegie Science Center.

Hotel was first approved in 2017

The Pittsburgh Planning Commission first approved the hotel in 2017. However, plans for the building were delayed after gaming legislation was passed that added mini-casinos across the state and transformed PA’s gaming landscape.

In the meantime, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh completed several significant property enhancements. Those upgrades included:

  • Adding a gourmet burger restaurant, FLIPT
  • The Event Center for large galas and expositions
  • Launching Pittsburgh’s first licensed sportsbook

Big month for parent company Rush Street Gaming

The announcement of The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh continues a busy month for Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s parent company, Rush Street Gaming.

At last week’s Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Rush Street Gaming presented its plans to rebrand Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino as Rivers Casino Philadelphia.

Rivers brand will be strong in PA

The SugarHouse rebrand, which will begin this summer, will create a uniform gaming, rewards, and marketing product for all of the company’s Rivers casinos. Rush Street Gaming also operates Rivers Casinos in Des Plaines, Illinois and Schenectady, New York.

In Pennsylvania specifically, the Rivers brand will benefit from two well-performing casinos in the state’s two biggest cities.

Hotel construction should boost an already-flourishing casino

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is typically one of the state’s top performers in both slot machine and table game revenue, as well as overall earnings. The construction of the hotel and corresponding rooms should strengthen that performance.

It also is generally the top sportsbook in the state, thanks to its status as the only book in the city. Comparatively, Philadelphia has six sportsbooks in its larger area. Rivers Sportsbook took in more bets than anyone in May, with $7.9 million in wagers.

The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh will feature expansive windows on every level with unobstructed views of the Ohio River and Pittsburgh’s famous skyline.

The guest rooms will also include 10 luxury terrace suites, each with private first-floor patios.

The hotel’s location will be a desirable one. Patrons of The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh will be within a short walk to Heinz Field (home of the Pittsburgh Steelers), PNC Park (home of the Pittsburgh Pirates), and subway stations with routes all over the city.

What’s next for Rivers Casino Pittsburgh?

The attached hotel will fill a need for Rivers Casino Pittsburgh that is not lacking much else.

The casino currently features:

  • 2,708 slots
  • 128 table games
  • A 30-table live poker room
  • 55 hybrid gaming seats
  • Nine restaurants and bars
  • A riverside amphitheater
  • Black box Event Center space
  • Multipurpose ballroom

The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh will add 128 new jobs

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, which opened in 2009, currently employs approximately 1,700 staff members and has been voted a great place to work in Pittsburgh.

The new hotel, which was privately funded, should add 128 permanent new hotel and casino jobs, along with 1,400 temporary construction jobs.

The hotel is expected to open in early 2021

It will take approximately 18 months to complete the project. The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh should open in early 2021.

“The time is right,” Greg Carlin, CEO of Rush Street Gaming and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, said in the news release. “Statewide gaming expansion changed our schedule, but never our intentions. Rush Street always envisioned a hotel for Rivers to create a full-service destination on the North Shore. We see it as a natural evolution.”

Rush Street Gaming continues to bring positive changes to its Rivers properties.

The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh is simply the latest evidence.
