Blazin’ 5 Wild Card Picks: Colin Cowherd Has Winning Weekend

Colin Cowherd Blazin 5 picks wild card games ATS from the Fox Bet sports betting app. He likes the Eagles, Bengals, Pats, Niners and Rams.

Colin Cowherd made his Blazin’ 5 Wild Card weekend picks and even though his two “strongest plays” (Philadelphia Eagles +8.5 and New England +4) were losers, he managed to finish the weekend 3-2.

We track Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks so you can decide whether to follow or fade when betting on the NFL at PA sports betting apps.

Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 record 2019 to present:

  • 2021: 37-43-2
  • 2020: 40-41-2

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals (-5.5)

Cowherd pick: Bengals

Final score prediction: Bengals 32, Raiders 27

Cowherd said:

“It’s a matchup of teams with the most penalty yards (Raiders) and the fewest (Bengals). I worry the Raiders defense was on the field for 90 snaps and then they lose a day with travel. Joe Burrow, you can look at the numbers, has been absolutely unbelievable The Raiders are the first team in NFL history to end a season with four straight wins of four points or fewer. I kinda feel like the jig is up. They’ve also only scored only 17 offensive touchdowns over the last 10 weeks, the fewest among all playoff teams. I think a worn down defense gets exposed in the second half.”

Final score: Bengals 26, Raiders 19

New England Patriots (+4) vs. Buffalo Bills

Cowherd pick: Patriots

Final score prediction: Bills 28, Patriots 27

Cowherd said:

“I’m going to take the points here. Belichick gets Josh Allen for a third time. New Engalnd has 24 rushing touchdowns, 2nd most in the league. It’s zero degrees, I don’t think there is going to be a ton of points. The Bills are 0-5 in games decided by one possession. Josh Allen versus the Patriots is 3-4 with a 57.1 completion percentage. He’s not been very good against the Patriots. I think it’s ugly and low-scoring. I’ll take the Bills to win on a late field goal but this is my strongest play of the weekend. I like New England plus the points.”

Final score: Bills 47, Patriots 17

Philadelphia Eagles (+8.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cowherd pick: Eagles

Final score prediction: Buccaneers 27, Eagles 24

Cowherd said:

“This is my second-strongest play of the weekend, I like the Eagles +8.5. They (the Eagles) don’t make mistakes and Brady does. Philadelphia, right now….this is a fascinating one. In the last ten games, the Eagles are 7-3, with 28.5 ppg and 20 points allowed. The Bucs are also 7-3 with 27.3 ppg and 20.6 points allowed. The Eagles offense averages almost 3-and-a-half yards per-carry before contac…that leads the league. Brady has 15 giveaways this year, that’s the most for him in 12 years. Tampa is still banged up, does not have a consistent run game, the weather could be windy and that hurts the more vertical passing team. I think Tampa wins here, but +8.5 against the team that consistently gets over 10 yards a carry…I think it’s close.”

Final score: Buccaneers 31, Eagles 15

San Francisco 49ers (+3) vs. Dallas Cowboys

Cowherd pick: 49ers

Final score prediction: 49ers 28, Cowboys 27

Cowherd said:

“Went back and forth and gotta go with my initial instinct, I’m taking San Francisco +3 and the upset win. The road team has won 10 of 14 wild card games in the last three years. The offense for San Francisco leads the NFL…huge stat, yards-per-play (6.1). 49ers offense, hottest it’s been all year…3 of the last four games 150+ rushing. Oh, by the way all you Jimmy Garropollo haters, it’s insane. Since Week 9, he’s second in the league in completion percentage, 1st in passing-yards-per-attempt, 1st in big passing plays. Since Thanksgiving, he’s a Top 5 clutch quarterback in the leageand the Cowboys are 1-5 when they are held under 100 rushing yards and it’s hard to get to 100 against the Niners defense.”

Final score: 49ers 23, Cowboys 17

Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams (-4)

Cowherd pick: Rams

Final score prediction: Rams 31, Cardinals 26

Cowherd said:

“This is my weakest bet of the weekend. A couple things worry me. Arizona’s defense has not been good. Six yards a play surrended in their last five games. Ten of the Rams 12 wins came by seven points or more. They get it going, they get a lead, they rarely lose. Kyler Murray is 1-5 verus the Rams with a 62.3 completion percentage and 9 giveaways. He has struggled against this Rams personell.”

Final score: Rams 34, Cardinals 11

NFL Week 18 Blazin’ 5 Picks End Colin Cowherd’s “Hardest Year of Gambling”

Colin Cowherd picks Week 18 Blazin’ 5 ATS from the Fox Bet sports betting app betting odds. He likes the Cowboys, Raiders, Falcons, Dolphins.

It’s the last week of the regular season and Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 (35-41-1) has no chance of finishing with a winning record.

He already has excuses ready for his subpar showing.

Before giving out his Week 18 picks Cowherd was in a reminiscent mood on Friday’s episode of “The Herd.” He recalled going to Stardust Casino in Vegas on Sunday night (or Monday night) to bet the opening NFL lines.

“That’s how I bet my whole life (opening lines.) Then COVID hit. Now you have to wait until Sunday morning because players are coming in and out and the whole thing for me has gone upside down. You can say it’s just an excuse. It’s the hardest year of gambling I’ve ever had,” said Cowherd.

What is Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 record?

Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 record 2019 to present:

  • 2021: 37-43-2

Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Cowherd pick: Cowboys

Final score prediction: Cowboys 27, Eagles 20

Cowherd said:

“I initially liked the Eagles but they got 16 players on the COVID list. I’m going to take the Cowboys. Their defense leads the NFL in interceptions takeaways, third-down conversions. Jalen Hurts, who is still struggling, let’s be honest, he ranks 28th in passing, it’s gonna be hard on 3rd down. The Cowboys are athletic and rangy and they beat him the first time they played him. Dak against the NFC East is 24-4 with 50 TDs and 15 picks, he eats them alive. The Eagles have 16 players on COVID, they are 0-6 when facing a team with a winning record.”

Final score: Cowboys 51, Eagles 26

Did Cowherd win? Yes

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons (+3.5)

Cowherd pick: Falcons

Final score prediction: Falcons 24, Saints 23

Cowherd said:

“This is a rivalry game. I bet the Falcons earlier this year against the Saints and I’m gonna bet ’em again. You know I don’t like betting the Falcons and this is my second time. They are 7-2 in games decided by 8 or fewer points. In close games they are a good team and their defense has 12-straight games with a takeaway (leads NFL). Matt Ryan ate ’em up the last time he played them and the Saints offense over the last three games is a mess, 10 points a game. When you’re down to your third and fourth quarterback it’s a merry-go-round. The Saints offense on third down in the last three games is the worst in the league. I get Matt Ryan at home with over a field goal…I think Atlanta upsets the Saints.”

Final score: Saints 30, Falcons 20

Did Cowherd win? No

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams (-4.5)

Cowherd pick: Rams

Final score prediction: Rams 28, 49ers 23

Cowherd said:

“Initially, I would like San Francisco and the points here but Garoppolo’s not practicing, he has an injury. The Rams are on a five-game winning streak and they are playing football. They lead the NFL in yards-per-play. Matt Stafford’s numbers this year have been fantastic. The key though is Garoppolo’s thumb sprain. I thought it would get better and it has not. You are asking Trey Lance to face this Rams team on the road in his second road start. This is a big ask for a rookie quarterback and I don’t like it.”

Final score: 49ers 27, Rams 24

Did Cowherd win? No

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins (+6)

Cowherd pick: Dolphins

Final score prediction: Patriots 24, Dolphins 23

Cowherd said:

“A lot of the wise guys like New England. I’m taking Miami +6. First of all, 5-0 in their last 5 home games. Weird things happen last game of the year in Miami. Dolphins are 6-2 last 8 times they played the Patriots in Miami. Since Week 9, the Dolphins defense has allowed 14.5 ppg (2nd in NFL), and rank 1st in the league since Week 9 for ypg allowed, yards-per-play allowed and sacks. Their defense is fantastic. The Patriots are 3-6 against teams this year that are .500 or better. Mac Jones doesn’t really have the ability to get out of trouble and Miami’s defense gets you in trouble. It’s too many points for a rivalry points, an amazing defense and a rookie quarterback.”

Final score: Dolphins 33, Patriots 24

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders (+3)

Cowherd pick: Raiders

Final score prediction: Raiders 30, Chargers 27

Cowherd said:

“This game, I’ve gone back-and-forth with. I know I’m getting a true effort. With a lot of these games. I just don’t know whose playing. Both of these teams need to win. The Raiders defense, 4 of their last 5 games have played well. Derek Carr is playing his butt off this year. Darren Waller is back and I don’t trust the Chargers defense. It’s the worst third down defense in the league. The Raiders are running the ball and they are going to keep Herbert off the field.”

Final score: Raiders 35, Chargers 33

Colin Cowherd’s Week 17 Blazin’ 5: Big Ben’s Heinz Finale Gives Herd Host a Winning Record

Colin Cowherd picks Week 17 Blazin’ 5 ATS from the Fox Bet sports betting app betting odds. He Washington over Eagles and likes Steelers.

Colin Cowherd was off last week for Christmas and hit the ski slopes with his family. “The Herd” co-host Joy Taylor filled with her “Favorite Five.”

He returned for second-to-last week of the NFL regular season.

“I like dogs this week,” said Cowherd after he picked three favorites for his Week 17 Blazin’ 5.

Entering Week 17, Cowherd gave his Herd Hierarchy with the Kansas City Chiefs at the top, followed by the Buccaneers and the Rams.

We track Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks so you can decide whether to follow or fade when betting on the NFL at PA sports betting apps.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts (-7)

Cowherd pick: Colts

Final score prediction: Colts 31, Raiders 23

Cowherd said:

“I hope you got a better number but I still like the Colts. They got an extra day of prep and all 9 of their wins have come by 6+ plus points. They’ve held their opponents under 20 points in 5 of the last six games. This team is rolling and can play with anyone in the league right now. Jonathan Taylor is No.1 in virtually everything and they have a great identity. Six of the Raiders’ seven losses have come by 7 or more points. I get a hotter team with Wentz and Quinten Nelson ready to go.”

Final score: Raiders 23, Colts 20

Did Cowherd win? No

Miami Dolphins vs. Tennessee Titans (-3.5)

Cowherd pick: Titans

Final score prediction: Titans 28, Dolphins 23

Cowherd said:

“One of my favorite games of the week. The Dolphins are on a short week. The Titans played Thursday. The Titans defense is No. 2 in rush defense. The Dolphins rank last in yards-per-carry. It means Tua is going to have throw and he has been held to under 200 yards passing in the last two games. I get short prep against longer prep. I love what the Titans are doing. They are getting healthier.”

Final score: Titans 34, Dolphins 3

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Football Team (+3.5)

Cowherd pick: Washington

Final score prediction: Washington 26, Eagles 23

Cowherd said:

“I like another upset here. Washington is 6-2 this year when they have 1 turnover or fewer. Philadelphia’s defense does not turn up the heat. They are 26th in takeaways and 30th in sacks. Quarterbacks have all day to throw. Jalen Hurts can run, but if he falls behind, it’s not about passing. Miles Sanders has a broken hand. Hurts is still dealing with an ankle injury. I’m going to take Washington and the points to upset the Eagles.”

Final score: Eagles 20, Washington 16

Did Cowherd win? No

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5)

Cowherd pick: Chargers

Final score prediction: Chargers 28, Broncos 20

Cowherd said:

“I have bet for and against the Chargers more than any team in the league. I think they are going to win and cover against the Broncos. Bosa, Eckler and Mike Williams are back. These important star players matter to young star quarterbacks. The Chargers offense has 50 total TDs. Only two teams have more. Their offense has been spectacular. The Broncos have lost 3 of 4. Drew Lock isn’t healthy and he is starting. Drew Lock on the road against a desperate Charger team with a star-studded offense…”

Final score Chargers 34, Broncos 13

Did Cowherd win: Yes

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (+3.5)

Cowherd pick: Steelers

Final score prediction: Steelers 24, Browns 23

Cowherd said:

“Fascinating game, I’m going to take the Steelers plus the points. Mike Tomlin is great underdog coach. they are 14-0 against the Browns at home in the Tomlin era and the Steelers were humiliated last week. You know my rule, proud organizations who get humiliated always play well the the next week and the Steelers were made fun of the road. Ben’s last home game, I’m going to get all sorts of emotion. He is 24-2-1 against the Brows with 42 TDs and 22 INTs. T.J. Watt’s going to play and the Steelers are 7-2 when he plays at least 60% of the snaps. The Browns have lost 3 of 4 and Baker has not been good on the road this year (2-5) and he was a disaster last week.”

Final score: Steelers 26, Browns 14

Colin Cowherd’s Week 16 Blazin’ 5: Joy Taylor Fills In With Her Favorite Five

Colin Cowherd and Joy Taylor Week 16 Blazin’ 5 picks ATS from the Fox Bet sports betting app betting odds.

Colin Cowherd is enjoying the Christmas holiday on the slopes with his family.

Although he didn’t make any NFL Week 16 picks, he left some stocking stuffers as the season headed into the home stretch

Joy Taylor, Cowherd’s co-host on “The Herd” filled in for him on Friday and did her Favorite Five.

Every week, we track Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks so you can decide whether to follow or fade when making your wagers at PA sports betting apps.

The Herd with Colin Cowherd is a sports talk radio show on Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports 1. Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 airs Fridays on The Herd at 1 p.m. EST.

Cleveland Browns (7-7) vs. Green Bay Packers (11-3)

“The Packers are great at home (6-0) and they are favored by 7.5 and I do think they will cover. The Browns are coming off a really bad COVID week and are getting a lot of people back. The Browns have been held to under 20 points in four of their last five games. This is a year where Baker has really struggled and Aaron Rodgers is leading the MVP race. This is a major mismatch.”

Indianapolis Colts (8-6) vs. Arizona Cardinals (10-4)

“The Colts lead NFL in +14 turnover differential and have the No. 1 scoring offense since Week 4 with 31.4. ppg. Jonathan Taylor has been the story of this team. The Cardinals who were tearing the league up are 3-4 in their last seven games and Kyler Murray has struggled since returning from injury.

Buffalo Bills (8-6) vs. New England Patriots (9-5)

“Belichick owns the Bills and the Patriots have the No. 2 scoring offense since Week 7. However, I do think this will a much more competitive game and look much more different than the one they played earlier in the season. I think the Bills need needs the game more than the Patriots. I think I’m going to go with Patriots -2 but I think it’s going to be a great matchup.”

Baltimore Ravens (8-6) vs. Bengals (8-6)

“The AFC North is wide open. The winner of this game will be first in the AFC North but the Ravens are coming off of three straight losses. I think this is the Bengals game and we don’t know what the situation is with Lamar Jackson so you are going to have to pay attention to that. I think this is the Bengals (-3) game.

Miami Dolphins (7-7)  vs. New Orlean Saints (7-7)

“I am excited for this. The Dolphins are on a six game winning streak. Tua is playing really well. The Saints are banged up and their top two quarterbacks are out. They are coming off a shutout of the Bucs. Their defense is incredible competitive.”

Colin Cowherd’s Week 15 Blazin’ 5: Another Losing Record For Herd Host

Colin Cowherd picks Week 15 Blazin’ 5 ATS from the Fox Bet sports betting app betting odds. He picks the Jags, Steelers and Colts.

On Friday afternoon, the NFL announced that three games would be moved due to COVID-19 outbreaks.

Before the NFL made the changes, here’s what Colin Cowherd said on The Herd on Friday:

“The whole thing with omicron, it’s new information. It’s a new variant that’s really mild. Let’s have new protocols. The NFL might say, ‘most of you might catch it but you’ll be asymptomatic or mild.’  Everybody is like, ‘well, you said this earlier.’ Different variant and different medical information. This is a much milder variant. We probably shouldn’t be as stringent.”

Entering Week 15, Cowherd gave his updated Super Bowl bubble and a not-so-hot take on where Aaron Rodgers would end up next year.

Every week, we track Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks so you can decide whether to follow or fade when making your wagers at PA sports betting apps.

New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts (-2.5)

Cowherd pick: Colts

Final score prediction: Colts 28, Patriots 24

Cowherd said:

“Both teams are off a bye so they are well-rested. The Colts have scored 30+ points in 7 of 8 games. From Week 6 on, they are No. 1 in the NFL in points, total touchdowns and second in rushing. The defense is good too, forcing turnovers. The Colts are 7-0 when Jonathan Taylor has over 100 yards rushing and the Patriots rush defense is their weakness. The Colts are at home and more desperate.”

Final score: Colts 27, Patriots 17

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (-5)

Cowherd pick: Jaguars

Final score prediction: Jaguars 27, Texans 20

Cowherd said:

“Haven’t taken the Jags all year. Interim coaches always get a great effort the first few weeks. Jacksonville’s defense, they got a pass rush and can get after you. They’ve allowed less than 200 yards passing in 5 of their last 7 games and Davis Mills has never won a start in the NFL. Jacksonville has the better defensive front, they are at home, and they have the better quarterback. The Texans have scored 14 or fewer points in 8 games this year. They rank last in points per game (13.6), yards-per-game (264.3) and total touchdowns (19). I got an inspired team who wants to prove it was the ex-coach who was the problem.”

Final score: Texans 30, Jaguars 16

Did Cowherd win? No

Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (+.5)

Cowherd pick: Steelers

Final score prediction: Steelers 26, Titans 20

Cowherd said:

“I might bag on Big Ben, but he’s had his moments this year. In the last 8 games, he’s had 15 TDs and 3 INTs…only Aaron Rodgers has. better TD/INT ratio. A lot of that is because Najee Harris is becoming a forceful running back. They are 5-1 when Najee gets 25+ touches. Since losing Derek Henry the Titans defense is a wreck. They rank 22nd in points-per-game (19.4), and 15th in ypg (299.2) and are forcing Tannehill to take more of a burden of the offense and they become a turnover machine – 9 giveaways in the last 3 games. They really miss Derek Henry.”

Final score: Steelers 19, Titans 13

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos (-3)

Cowherd pick: Broncos

Final score prediction: Broncos 28, Bengals 23

Cowherd said:

“I liked this line much better at 1.5 and 2. It’s my least favorite bet. The Broncos defense forces a lot of turnovers. They’ve had multiple takeaways in 4 of their last 6 games. The Broncos ranked 2nd in ppg allowed (17.5) and 4th on opponents passer rating (80.3). I love Joe Burrow but he has 14 INTs, tied for most in the league. He’s a young quarterback with an okay offensive line. Denver, at home, cold weather, late in the year, good disruptive defense…”

Final score: Bengals 15, Broncos 10

Did Cowherd win? No

Seattle Seahawks (+4) vs. Los Angeles Rams

Cowherd pick: Seahawks

Final score prediction: Rams 27, Seahawks 26

Cowherd said:

“This is a strange game. I like the Seahawks a lot here. Massive COVID outbreak on the Rams. It’s one thing to miss starters last week and be galvanized. Now you’re asking it for the second week in a row. In this division, taking points is almost always the way to go. Seahawks have 10 giveaways this year, tied for fewest in the league. They don’t beat themselves. Russel is playing better. I think it’s a go-either way game. But it’s way too many points to give a desperate Seattle team.”

Colin Cowherd’s Week 14 Blazin’ 5 Picks Were Freezing Cold

Colin Cowherd picks Week 14 Blazin’ 5 ATS from the Fox Bet sports betting app betting odds. He picks Bills, Browns, Giants and 49ers.

Before the start of the 2021 NFL season we listed Colin Cowherd’s predictions.

One of his prognostications got a fair amount of play this week.

Cowherd on Mac Jones before the 2021 NFL Draft:

“Mac Jones…good lord…Mel Kiper’s gotta slow down on this. It’s not gonna work.”

Cowherd on Mac Jones after the New England Patriots (9-4) beat the Bills in Week 13:

“Mac Jones is clearly good enough to win the Super Bowl.”

Cowherd’s Week 14 picks were ice cold. He went 1-4. None of the picks he “loved” –  Giants +9.5 and Buffalo +3 – covered.

Every week, we track Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks so you can decide whether to follow or fade when making your wagers at PA sports betting apps.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns (-3)

Cowherd pick: Browns

Final score prediction: Browns 27, Ravens 23

Cowherd said:

“I got it at 2.5 but I still like Cleveland. They are more desperate, healthier and they are coming off a bye. Lamar Jackson is in a slump. The Ravens, under 20 points in 4 straight games, and they have fallen apart physically. This defense is falling apart and John Harbaugh acknowledged that in the Steelers game. I get a well-coached team that’s healthier and has more rest.”

Final score: Browns 24, Ravens 23

Did Cowherd win? No

New York Giants (+9.5) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Cowherd pick: Giants

Final score prediction: Chargers 28, Giants 23

Cowherd said:

“Love the Giants. Mike Glennon is going to play. I don’t care if they win or lose. The Giants in their last 6 games are 4-2 ATS because no one thinks they can play. They have held their opponents to 20 or fewer points in five of their last six games. If you look at their defense, they take the ball away. Since Week 7, their D ranks 4th for ppg allowed and yards per-play allowed. The Chargers are dealing with COVID issues. Five of the seven wins by the Chargers are by 6 or fewer. I think the Giants keep it close. I don’t think I lost a Chargers game this year.”

Final score: Chargers 37, Giants 21

Did Cowherd win? No

Sand Francisco 49ers (-2) vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Cowherd pick: 49ers

Final score prediction: 49ers 28, Bengals 23

Cowherd said:

“The 49ers are favored now but I loved them as underdogs. It’s my weakest pick but I like them here. They out-gained their last four opponents. They are starting to get healthy and they are running the football. Their offense is the best Red Zone offense in the league. They’ve scored a TD on 76% of their Red Zone drives. The defense is starting to play well with multiple takeaways in the past month. But here’s the key, the Bengals are getting sloppy. Joe Burrow is hurt, they’ve had multiple games offensively with a turnover or more. Burrow has 14 picks and 16 giveaways…more than anyone in the league. Now he is hurt.”

Final score: 49ers 26, Bengals 23

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Buffalo Bills (+3) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cowherd pick: Bills

Final score prediction: Bills 34, Buccaneers 23

Cowherd said:

“I love Buffalo +3. If you wait I think it can go 3.5 or 4. You’re all selling your Bills stock, give it all to me, I’m buying it. I think they go on a heater. They are 4-0 after a loss this year. Their D is still still exceptional. Their D is first in yards per-play allowed, 1st in opp. passer rtg (62.9), 1st in ypg allowed (272.3). Tom Brady, we love him…but 5 straight games one or more turnover. This game, you have a proud good football team that was mocked and ripped by their own media. They are going to play their best game of the year and whack Tommy and the Buccaneers.”

Final score: Buccaneers 33, Bills 27

Did Cowherd win? No

Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals (-2.5)

Cowherd pick: Cardinals

Final score prediction: Cardinals 34, Rams 24

Cowherd said:

“Vegas guys are back-and-forth on this. Kyler Murray has a 73% completion percentage. You can’t stop him off-script. I don’t know what you do to defend him when he’s healthy. The Rams are a little over-inflated in my opinion. Six of their eight wins have come against teams with losing records. They don’t have Robert Woods and they are asking Van Jefferson to be him. I think this line should be bigger. Since Week 7, the Rams are 1-5 ATS.”

Colin Cowherd’s Week 13 Blazin’ 5: Philadelphia Eagles Best Bet, Steelers Will Bounce Back Against Ravens

Colin Cowherd picks Week 13 Blazin’ 5 ATS odds from the Fox Bet sports betting app. He picks Eagles, Steelers, Bills and Broncos.

The temperatures are dropping and so is Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 record. He started to heat up in Week 10 (4-1) and Week 11 (3-2), but in Week 12, he went an ice cold 1-4.

Cowherd rebounded in Week 14, starting out 3-0 but losing the final two games on the Blazin’ 5 slate to finish 3-2.

Los Angeles Chargers (+3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Cowherd pick: Chargers

Final score prediction: Chargers 27, Bengals 26

Cowherd said:

“I made a lot of money betting against the Chargers this year. But outside of the Vikings, the Chargers play more close games of anyone in the NFL. Justin Herbert is Top 5 in virtually everything. The Bengals are a really good team coming off their most dominating performance in over 20 years against the Steelers. They will pull back. The Bengals are 4-0 this year against the Steelers, Jaguars and the Lions. They are 3-4 against everybody else. Burrow has been sacked 13 times over the past month. The Chargers have a pass rush. I think it’s a fun and entertaining game. Chargers win outright.”

Final score: Chargers 41, Bengals 22

Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) vs. New York Jets

Cowherd pick: Eagles

Final score prediction: Eagles 33, Jets 23

Cowherd said:

“Favorite bet of the week. I love Philadelphia -6.5. They are the best rushing team in the league which is remarkable. It’s all about Jalen Hurts. They don’t have a single player with a 100-yard rushing game this year yet they lead the NFL in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and touchdown differential. This is a Jalen Hurts story. If you haven’t faced him, he’s a handful. Over the last five games, they are first in rush yards per game (215.6), tied for first for rush TD (10) and first for rush differential (131.4). The Jets defense is the worst scoring defense in the NFL and the second worst yards per play. Philadelphia is going to go in there and dominate the clock and be a nightmare for the Jets defense.”

Final score: Eagles 33, Jets 16

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (+4)

Cowherd pick: Steelers

Final score prediction: Steelers 23, Ravens 21

Cowherd said:

“Folks, these games are always close. What’s my rule? When good organizations are humiliated, take them the next week. Since John Harbaugh arrived in Baltimore, the average Steelers vs. Ravens difference in a game is one point. The Ravens offense is struggling. It can be awful. Held under 18 points in four of their last five games. Lamar Jackson, four picks last week. His turnovers have gone way up. He’s in a rut. The Steelers and Mike Tomlin are a proud organization. The Ravens defense allows six yards a play. Najee Harris is going to have himself an afternoon.”

Final score: Steelers 20, Ravens 19

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Denver Broncos (+9) vs Kansas City Chiefs

Cowherd pick: Broncos

Final score prediction: Kansas City 26, Broncos 23

Cowherd said:

Everybody loves Andy Reid off a bye but it doesn’t mean he covers the spread. Kansas City has become one of the worst ATS teams in the league even off a bye. The Broncos defense this year is outstanding. Nine points is way too many for an in-division rivalry game. Opposing QB’s passer ratings against the Broncos is 82.7. I like Kansas City to win but this is a rivalry and I think it’s choppy.”

Final score: Chiefs 22, Broncos 9

Did Cowherd win? No

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills (-2.5)

Cowherd pick: Bills

Final score prediction: Bills 27, Patriots 20

Cowherd said:

“Depends on the line but right now it’s Buffalo -2.5 at home in a snowstorm. I’m going to take Buffalo in that instance. Their defense is great. Buffalo’s defense ranks second for ppg allowed (16.5), first ypg allowed (275.2), first in opponents passer rating (62.8). Josh Allen has 7 games with 100-plus passer rating. He’s 2-0 against the Patriots with 5 TDs and one pick. Belichick has struggled in the last couple games against him. New England struggles to move the ball. I’m not a huge fan of snow games unless it helps me in betting. I will be this weekend. It’s going to be fun and be the game of the weekend.”

Colin Cowherd’s Week 12 Blazin’ 5: More Like Freezin’ Cold Picks With Only One Win

Colin Cowherd picks Week 12 Blazin’ 5 ATS using betting lines from the Fox Bet app. He picks Colts, Broncos, Steelers and Texans.

Colin Cowherd appears to have started getting his Blazin’ 5 fires burning. He went 3-2 in Week 11 after going 4-1 in Week 10. That’s back-to-back winning weeks for the first time during the 2021 NFL season for “The Herd” host.

His Week 12 picks were colder than Thanksgiving leftovers and he finished 1-4.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys (-7.5)

Cowherd pick: Cowboys

Colin’s final score: Cowboys 30, Raiders 20

Cowherd said:

“You know I take one big favorite a week and I’ll take the Cowboys. Tyron Smith, ankle, he’s going to start at right tackle. CeeDee Lamb is probably back. Dak at home this year has been a different quarterback. He is 4-1 with 14 TDs, 2 INTs and a 118.1 passer rating. Right now the Raiders have everything from tragedy to chaos to an interim coach. This a a freefall Raider team.”

Final score: Raiders 36, Cowboys 33

Did Cowherd win? No

Pittsburgh Steelers (+4.5) vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Cowherd pick: Steelers

Colin’s final score: Steelers 26, Bengals 24

Cowherd said:

“I like to take Mike Tomlin as an underdog. He may be the NFL’s best underdog coach. The Steelers get T.J. Watt, Joe Haden and Minkah Fitzpatrick back. The Steelers are 0-4 when Watt doesn’t play. He is the MVP of this team. Big Ben in the last five games, because of Najee Harris and an improving young o-line, has played well. Nine touchdowns, no picks. He’s the only starting quarterback in the league without an interception in the last five games. I think the Steelers win outright.”

Final score: Bengals 41, Steelers 10

Did Cowherd win? No

New York Jets vs. Houston Texans (-2.5)

Cowherd pick: Texans

Colin’s final score: Texans 30, Jets 23

Cowherd said:

“I like the Texans -2.5. When Tyrod Taylor is playing quarterback they don’t make a ton of mistakes. He can run and pass for touchdowns. They are 2-1 when he plays. They are playing hard and in a lot of their games. I think they are going to beat the Jets. The Jets are so bad defensively. They are last in virtually everything. Zach Wilson will be the third different quarterback in three games. There is no continuitity.”

Final score: Jets 21, Texans 14

Did Cowherd win? No

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Indianapolis Colts (+3)

Colin’s pick: Colts

Colin’s final score: Colts 27, Buccaneers 21

Cowherd said:

“I like the Colts at home getting a field goal. Brady isn’t the same quarterback on the road since he got to Tampa. He’s great at home. He’s not been a great road quarterback. The Colts take the ball away and don’t give it up. They lead the league in turnover differential and Brady has had a little interception problem. Carson Wentz, 97 passer rating and is getting better because Jonathan Taylor is No. 1 in virtually every running back data point. The Bucs are coming off a short week and Antonio Brown may not play.”

Final score: Buccaneers 38, Colts 31

Did Cowherd win? No

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos (+2.5)

Cowherd pick: Broncos

Colin’s final score: Broncos 28, Chargers 24

Cowherd said:

“My favorite bet of the week. Like it, I love it, Broncos +2.5. The Chargers have a bad defense and Denver is going to run the football and control time-of-possession. Denver has held their opponents under 20 three of their last four games. Bridgewater doesn’t make mistakes, three games without a pick. And the Chargers can’t defend the run. They haven’t won consecutive games since Week 4 and 5. I’m taking Denver straight up.”

Colin Cowherd’s Week 11 Blazin’ 5 Picks: He Predicted The Eagles Would Win Three Games and Lose to the Saints

Colin Cowherd picks Week 11 Blazin’ 5 ATS using betting lines from the Fox Bet app. He picks all underdogs and the Saints to beat Eagles.

The Blazin’ 5 fires are burning. Colin Cowherd’s picks went 3-2 in Week 11 after going 4-1 in Week 10. That’s back-to-back winning weeks for the first time during the 2021 NFL season for “The Herd” host.

But Colin haters and faders can take some solace. During his season-long predictions, he said the Philadelphia Eagles would only win three games. The Birds beat the New Orleans Saints and improved to 5-6. Cowherd also picked the Saints (+2) to cover and upset the Eagles.

During Friday’s episode of “The Herd” he seems to cast quite a wide net for his Super Bowl LVI winners (and beyond). He named his “confetti quarterbacks”– the quarterbacks he can see winning the Super Bowl this year or in the future and holding the trophy as confetti rains overhead.

  • Patrick Mahomes
  • Josh Allen
  • Dak Prescott
  • Tom Brady
  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Kyler Murray
  • Russell Wilson

Indianapolis Colts (+7) vs. Buffalo Bills

Cowherd pick: Colts

Colin’s final score: Bills 26, Colts 23

Cowherd said:

“I like the Colts getting seven points even though I think Buffalo will win. It’s going to be rainy, wet weather. The Colts defense forces turnovers and I like their offense. The last seven games they are 5-2 and Wentz has 104 passer rating and has thrown zero interceptions in seven of his last eight starts. Do we overvalue the Bills because of a Mike Tyson quality to bury bad quarterbacks? They are a little overvalued. I think the game will be played between the 20s.”

Final score: Colts 41, Bills 16

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings (+1)

Cowherd pick: Vikings

Colin’s final score: Vikings 28, Packers 27

Cowherd said:

“The Vikings are the only team in the NFL who have led every game by at least seven points. Their defense leads the league in sacks and Aaron Rodgers has had a bad year against pressure. His passer rating under pressure is 14.9. The Vikings offense is explosive. It’s one of only four offenses with 250 passing yards and 125+ rushing yards per game. Kirk Cousins has been very effective against the Packers. The Packers are beat up. I pick an upset every week and here it is.”

Final score: Vikings 34, Packers 31

Did Cowherd win? Yes

New Orleans Saints (+2) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Cowherd pick: Saints

Colin’s final score: Saints 26, Eagles 24

Cowherd said:

“I can’t believe the Saints are getting points, they are the better team. I’ll take the Saints to win plus the +2. They are coming off back-to-back losses but they outgained both opponents. They are overlooked. They are 4-0 ATS as an underdog. Sean Payton is a great underdog coach. Philadelphia’s defense is not going to ravage a backup quarterback. They haven’t won a home game this year. The Eagles defense ranks last in completion percentage allowed (74%), 27th in opponents passer rating (102.1), 25th in total sacks (18). You can beat Philly in Philly with a backup. Their defense is not going to shut the Saints down. Sean Payton will come up with tricks.”

Final score: Eagles 40, Saints 29

Did Cowherd win? No

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks (+1.5)

Colin’s pick: Seahawks

Colin’s final score: Seahawks 27, Cardinals 23

Cowherd said:

“Seattle’s season is on the line. The line is only 1.5. Seahawks got shut out and Russel is 35-11 off of losses. He’s the best off-a-loss quarterback in the league. Kyler Murray’s ankle isn’t right. They might pull him because Arizona has a bye next week. This is not as urgent for Arizona. Season on the line. Russel Wilson a little healthier. They got humiliated.”

Final score: Cardinals 23, Seahawks 13

Did Cowherd win? No

Pittsburgh Steelers (+6) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Cowherd pick: Steelers

Colin’s final score: Steelers 24, Chargers 21

Cowherd said:

“Went back and forth but I am going to take Pittsburgh. Mike Tomlin is a great underdog coach. He’s also very effective against first and second year quarterbacks. First or second year quarterbacks against the Steelers in the Mike Tomlin era are 19-34 with a 57.8 completion percentage and a 78 passer rating. Justin Herbert has regressed in the last month. The Chargers defense is the worst rushing defense and the Steelers offense have had five straight games with over 100 yards rushing. This will be almost a home game for the Steelers.”

Colin Cowherd’s Week 10 Blazin’ 5 Picks: Underdog Picks Fetch Best Week; Eagles Surpass Three Win Prediction

It hasn’t been the best year for Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks. Through nine weeks of NFL betting action, he is 18-23-1 and he’s only had a +.500 record one week.

During Friday’s episode of “The Herd,” Cowherd said:

“My college picks have been on fire. This has been my worst year ever for the NFL. I love my picks this week and I think we are going to have an underdog weekend. Like Miami last night, it’s the season for them.”

In Week 10, he turned his best week of picks going 4-1. Only his “favorite bet of the year, Cleveland +2.5” lost.

During Cowherd’s season-long predictions, he predicted the Philadelphia Eagles would win three games. The Birds beat the Denver Broncos in Week 10 to improve to 4-6. Rejoice Eagles fans (and Colin Cowherd haters), it wasn’t a completely winning week for “The Herd” host.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Dallas Cowboys (-8)

Cowherd pick: Cowboys

Colin’s final score: Cowboys 33, Falcons 23

Cowherd said:

“The only favorite I like this weekend. When good teams get embarrassed at home they are going to be in an angry mood. I don’t care that Dak was bad last week, he’s been great all year. Michael Gallup is back at receiver. The Falcons have not won-back-to-back games all season. They have a bad o-line and even when Dallas lost last week they got excellent pressure on Bridgewater. This Falcons defense is bad.”

Final score: Cowboys 43, Falcons 3

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Cleveland Browns (+2.5) vs. New England Patriots

Cowherd pick: Browns

Colin’s final score: Browns 27, Patriots 20

Cowherd said:

“One of my favorite bets of the year. I absolutely love Cleveland. Before the season we told you that Cleveland’s defense was going to be good but give it to Week 8. In the last couple of weeks, it has been great. Both QBs will face pressure but Baker has been great under pressure because he has a running game and outlets. He has the highest passer rating under pressure. Will Mac Jones be good under pressure? I don’t think so. He’s completed less than 20 passes in three of his last four starts. New England’s wins this year have come against first or second year quarterbacks.”

Final score: Patriots 45, Browns 7

Did Cowherd win? No

Detroit Lions (+8) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Cowherd pick: Lions

Colin’s final score: Lions 24, Steelers 23

Cowherd said:

“Upset! I’m taking the Lions to beat the Steelers. You’re going to give this Steelers offense eight points? The Lions are off a bye. Half of their losses this year are by nine or fewer. The Steelers haven’t beaten an opponent by more than 8 all year. Their offense is a mess. It ranks 23rd in ppg and 27th in yards-per-play. Pittsburgh may win the game, but you can’t give Detroit eight points against Pittsburgh.”

Final score: Pittsburgh 16, Lions 16

Did Cowherd win? Yes

New Orleans Saints (+3) vs. Tennessee Titans

Colin’s pick: Saints

Colin’s final score: Saints 27, Titans 26

Cowherd said:

“Another game I love. The Titans are a good team but they are wildly overvalued because they beat the Rams. The Saints don’t beat themselves. The Saints defense can disrupt Tannehill. He’s been sacked 27 times. Now that Henry is gone they are going to be more reliant on him and a line that doesn’t protect him. It’s not like their offense was great last week against the Rams. They got two pick-sixes.”

Final score: Titans 23, Saints 21

Did Cowherd win? Yes

Minnesota Vikings (+3) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Cowherd pick: Vikings

Colin’s final score: Vikings 27, Chargers 26

Cowherd said:

“Because the Chargers are so fun with Justin Herbert they are a little overvalued. Minnesota has lost by one possession in 7 of 8 games. Only two other teams have more 30-point games. Kirk Cousins on the road ranks first with 10 TDs and 0 INTs and fourth in passer rating. The Chargers have the worst rushing defense in the league. It’s not a real road game. Half the stadium is going to be purple.”

Final score: Vikings 27, Chargers 20
