And now there are four.
DraftKings Sportsbook cleared Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) testing and is now fully live in Pennsylvania.
DraftKings Sportsbook is now available in the following four states:
- New Jersey
- West Virginia
“We have seen immense success over the last year with our sportsbook product and are thrilled for this pivotal next step as DraftKings expands into Pennsylvania,” said Jason Robins, co-founder and chief executive officer at DraftKings. “Pennsylvania is home to two of the biggest sports cities in the world and multiple big-time college programs, with some of the most diehard fan bases of all-time. We could not be more excited to introduce those fans to our top-rated mobile sportsbook and provide them with the unrivaled experience that has become synonymous with DraftKings.”
DraftKings Sportsbook available via browsers and app
To access DraftKings Sportsbook via web browser, go to sportsbook.draftkings.com. Once your account is created and your location is verified, you’ll have access to DraftKings’ entire sportsbook offerings.
In addition to the typical sports bets available, such as point spreads and moneylines, you should also find other unique opportunities, including:
- Odds boosts
- Prop bets
- Futures bets
- Pregame protection
- Parlay insurance
- Pools contests
- Flash bets (live bets specific to the next play or drive of the game)
For those interested in access via an app, simply downloading the DraftKings Sportsbook app will get you started.
However, those of you who have used the sportsbook app previously in another state will be able to skip that step. You can log in with your user name and password, and after geolocation is approved, the existing account and current balance will appear.
Also, you can do so on the same app you’ve been using in other states. The DraftKings Sportsbook app geolocates and works in any of its four operating states.
DraftKings app will have easy access across states
The DraftKings app is available for both iOS and Android devices. It also has an embedded wallet and location features that will allow the player to travel across the states that have approved it.
In fact, many users will likely find its interface similar to FanDuel’s, which went live at the end of July and should serve as DraftKings’ closest competition.
DraftKings and FanDuel dominate New Jersey, PA likely next
In New Jersey, FanDuel and DraftKings finished first and second in online revenue in the state’s latest sports wagering report.
FanDuel’s app in Pennsylvania launched over three months ago, giving that entity a sizable headstart in the Keystone State. However, with DraftKings’ brand recognition and marketing power, the gap will likely close considerably in the next several months.
DraftKings launching with substantial promotions
In order to attract some new players in conjunction with its online launch, DraftKings is offering a 20% deposit bonus of up to $500 (subject to some playthrough requirements). That offer lasts until Dec. 2.
You can also get a free $25 just for signing up. The site will give you five free $5 bets to get you started just for signing up for an account.
DraftKings is also extending some interesting game and team-specific promotions. You can make a risk-free bet of up to $25 on Pitt or Penn State in college football. And if you bet the Steelers moneyline in their game against the LA Rams on Sunday, you could earn $6 toward a free bet for every touchdown Pittsburgh scores.
There will likely be even more promotions arriving in the future as DraftKings aims to close the gap with all the other online sportsbooks that arrived beforehand.
Put simply; it’s game on.
And, with DraftKings around, the competition will be heating up.
