Colin Cowherd went a woeful 1-4 on his Blazin’ 5 picks for Week 8. It’s the second time in the last three weeks he delivered a one-win stinker.

When three of Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 NFL betting picks cover, sports bettors in Pennsylvania using the FOX Bet Sportsbook can double their money with FOX Bet’s odds boost on the wagers.

His “favorite pick of the week” Carolina (+6) turned into a laugher for those who choose to fade Cowherd and for the 49ers, who cruised to a 51-13 win.

Cowherd did talk up two winners on Friday during The Herd but failed to include them in his Blazin’ 5. After comparing the Eagles to a girlfriend who “ruined your credit” and “poured bleach in your eyes” he said he was “all in on them” against the Bills.  He also spoke at length about how much better the Patriots are than the Browns. Cowherd loves the Patriots. However, they have only been included in his Blazin’ 5 once this season during Week 1 when he picked the Steelers (+6)  to cover. (Patriots won 33-3).

His college football picks GPA is a Blutarsky. Cowherd is 0-9. If all three of his Marquee 3 Super Boost college football picks are correct, sports bettors cash at +800 instead of +600.

Each week we track all of Cowherd’s picks so you can know how he is faring before you follow his bets on your PA sports betting apps.

Cowherd’s college football Week 9 picks

Here are Cowherd’s Marquee 3 Super Boost college football picks for college football’s Week 9.

#13 Wisconsin (+14) vs. #3 Ohio State

Colin’s pick: Wisconsin

Colin’s final score: Ohio State 30, Wisconsin 20

Cowherd said: “The Badgers are 8-0 following a loss the last three years. Paul Chryst is a great coach, especially after losses. They were looking ahead to Ohio State and got caught off guard. They lead the nation in time of possession and will keep it away for stretches away from Ohio State. Wisconsin’s defense is ridiculous. They are number one in the country in a bunch of different stats, points, yards, yards per play, and third-down percentage. Their quarterback, Jack Coan, leads the nation in completion percentage. They got a great running game. Two or three pros on the o-line. They are going to lose this game, I believe. Ohio State has special playmakers and will go over the top to win it. But Wisconsin will be in this football game. Don’t overreact to Wisconsin being upset looking ahead.”

Actual final score: Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 7

#9 Auburbn vs. #2 LSU (-10.5)

Colin’s pick: LSU

Colin’s final score: LSU 36, Auburn 20

Cowherd said: “Blowout, baby! Joe Burrow may win the Heisman and be a top-five pick. LSU has been great in big games. 6-1 in their last seven games against top ten teams. Bo Nix is a mess. Against top 30 defenses this year he’s been terrible. This is going to be a complete mismatch. Florida played almost perfect against LSU and lost by two touchdowns. Auburn is going to get overwhelmed. Auburn never wins this game in Death Valley. LSU wins it comfortably.

Actual final score: LSU 23, Auburn 20

# Notre Dame vs. #19 Michigan (+1)

Colin’s pick: Michigan

Colin’s final score: Michigan 27, Notre Dame 26

Cowherd said: “Hear me out, Michigan’s going to upset Notre Dame. They lost to Penn State, but they played a great second half. Michigan has 18 sacks in the last four games. Notre Dame has a good offense but they played one defense all year, Georgia, and did you see what happened? Notre Dame does not have the perimeter weapons or the running back to make plays against a top defense. And Michigan’s defense is humming. If you take out the rival Buckeyes and Spartans, Michigan wins games at home. They are 25-0 with Harbaugh at home besides the Buckeyes and the Spartans. Michigan’s offense has 400+ yards in back-to-back games and is getting their act together. I’m calling for an upset. I know you think I’m nuts.”

*Last week, when Cowherd picked Penn State (-9) to cover versus Michigan he said “he’s done with Harbaugh’s crappy offense. They’re terrible at everything.”

Actual final score: Michigan 45, Notre Dame 14

Colin Cowherd’s Week 8 NFL picks

Here are Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks for  Week 8.

New York Giants (+6.5) vs. Detroit Lions

Colin’s pick: Giants

Colin’s final score: Giants 27, Lions 26

Cowherd said: “This is an easy one. The Lions were really tasty early but in the last three weeks, the players stopped listening. Their defense the last three weeks is last in the league. They traded a popular safety to Seattle this week and it did not sit well in the locker room. Kerryon Johnson was put on the IR this week. This is going to be a Stafford-led offense, a defense that is regressing, and I get 6.5 points against a Giants team. Daniel Jones won’t face pressure because Detroit doesn’t get to the quarterback.”

Actual final score: Lions 31, Giants 26

Did Colin win? Yes

Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts (-4.5)

Colin’s pick: Colts

Colin’s final score: Colts 27, Broncos 20

Cowherd said: “Like it, I love it. Indianapolis is healthier. Not just physically but emotionally. Denver, Flacco sacked eight times. There is arguing in the locker room. The first round left tackle is a bust. John Elway is under pressure. They just traded away Emmanuel Sanders. Jacoby Brissett is good. He’s big, strong, and doesn’t make mistakes. They are healthier and they are at home. Indy is in a dogfight playing every week with absolute urgency.”

Actual final score: Colts 15, Broncos 13

Did Colin win? No

New york Jets (+6.5) vs. jacksonville jaguars

Colin’s pick: Jets

Colin’s final score: Jets 28, Jaguars 24

Cowherd said: “Don’t overreact. You know my rule. A team with talent that gets humiliated on Thursday Night Football or a late game always bounces back. They don’t always win. Gardner Minshew is fun, but in the last two weeks, he’s been exposed. He completes under 50%, one TD, one pick, and a passer rating under 69. He’s a small guy with an average arm and he’s been exposed. Adam Gase is coaching for his job. The Jets played like crap and were humiliated. They don’t want you to think that’s who they are.”

Actual final score: Jaguars 29, Jets 15

Did Colin win? No

Carolina Panthers (+6) vs. San Francisco 49ers

Colin’s pick: Panthers

Colin’s final score: 49ers 27, Panthers 26

Cowherd said: “Favorite bet of the week. Like it? I love it. There’s a reason they went out and got Emmanuel Sanders. They are all beat up and young at wide receiver. Sanders has only been there a week. You have a Carolina defense that blitzes fewer than any defense in the NFL yet, they lead the NFL in sacks. What does that tell you? This is a great defense with an excellent defensive head coach that gets to the quarterback without bringing extra pressure. Kyle Allen is not great but he doesn’t make any mistakes. He’s up there with Tom Brady for most passes without a pick to start a career. I think Jimmy Garopollo is the quarterback who is under equal duress and is a little more mistake-prone. Kyle Shanahan went back to beat the team that fired his dad and gave his dad the game ball. Emotionally, San Francisco comes back just a smidge.”

Actual final score: 49ers 51, Panthers 13

Did Colin win? No

Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Texans (-7)

Colin’s pick: Houston

Colin’s final score: Houston 31, Raiders 21

Cowherd said: “Oakland’s three losses, they have been blown out. I don’t know if Josh Jacobs is going to play and I like him a lot. This is real simple to me. Oakland doesn’t pressure the quarterback. Deshaun Watson is 7-0 when he is sacked one or fewer times. So I get an incredibly comfortable Watson. Houston is a very solid running team. This is not all Watson now. He has star receivers, a pass-catching running back, Carlos Hyde, and an upgraded the o-line. ”

Actual final score: Texans 27, Raiders 24

Did Colin win? No

Blazin’ 5 Week 8 record: 1-4
