Antonio Brown gave the world a lesson in how to burn bridges.

Now, oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook at Valley Forge Casino are giving you the chance to make prop bets on whether the new Oakland Raiders will shine brighter than his protege, JuJu Smith-Schuster, this upcoming 2019 NFL season.

“There have been plenty of shots fired between former teammates JuJu Smith Schuster and Antonio Brown over the last week and no doubt each will be trying to outperform the other this season to prove a point,” said FanDuel rep Marc Sausa said in an email statement about the novel lines.

The beef between AB and JuJu

On his way out of Pittsburgh this offseason, Brown made it clear he was not happy with Steelers management or quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

The front office underpaid Brown, he claimed, and Big Ben was a negative presence in the locker room, so much so that Brown left a practice leading up to the final game of the 2018 season.

And, recently, Brown took jabs at now-#1 wideout Smith-Schuster.

In a tweet timestamped 2:10 p.m., April 7, Brown ripped into his younger counterpart. He referenced Smith-Schuster’s costly fumble in the Steeler’s must-win game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 17.

Smith-Schuster fired back with his own tweet, taking the high road by saying:

“All I ever did was show that man love and respect from the moment I got to the league. I was genuinely happy for him too when he got traded to Oakland w/a big contract, and how he takes shots at me on social media?”

The prop bets between AB and JuJu

This feud is now the stuff of legends and the basis for FanDuel’s pair of futures bets. One pits the two against each other in TD’s and the other in receiving yards:

  • More touchdowns
    • Antonio Brown: -220
    • JuJu Smith-Schuster: +175
  • More Yards
    • Antonio Brown: -140
    • Juju Smith-Schuster: +115

Based on these odds, Brown is the favorite to score more touchdowns and rack up more yards.

Interestingly, though, the two receivers were relatively evenly matched in 2018 when it came to catches and yards:

  • JuJu: 15 games, 111 catches, 1,426 yards, 7 touchdowns
  • AB: 15 games, 104 receptions, 1,297 yards, 15 TD’s.

Smith-Schuster enjoys the luxury of a high-powered offense that includes running back James Conner and a legendary QB.

While AB is now the star in a relatively pedestrian audience, he brings with him an uncanny ability to haul in TD’s. He’s logged double-digit touchdowns in four of his past five seasons.

Interestingly, Smith-Schuster posted career highs in his third season. His numbers exceeded what AB put up in his third season in the league.

Both JuJu and AB were playing behind stars (AB, Mike Wallace) and emerged as a star in their own right.

If you’d like to place a prop bet on these two wideouts, you can do so in person at Valley Forge Casino. Or, if it is easier, you can always pop over the New Jersey state line and take advantage of FanDuel’s online betting app there.
