Last year’s World Series of Poker was huge, breaking the record for total amount of prizes awarded (almost $350 million). The Main Event field attendance was close to the 2006 record, with 8,663 entries.
This year, the WSOP is determined to go even bigger and break those records. To make that happen, WSOP PA is offering additional ways for Pennsylvania poker players to win their way into the big tournament.
The WSOP takes place from May 30 to July 18.
New entry options will bring even more players to the 2023 WSOP
Registration for the 2023 World Series of Poker opened on April 13, and organizers have announced freeroll tournaments, satellites and promotions that could land you a spot in Las Vegas for the largest poker event ever.
In a press release, WSOP Vice President and Executive Director Ty Stewart remarked,
“This year’s WSOP is poised to break records with an unprecedented range of options to qualify for and attend the WSOP Main Event, widely recognized as the World Championship of poker.”
This year the tournament will have the largest capacity yet with 608 tables of Hold’em action, and the largest slate of bracelet events in WSOP history.
The list below details each of the new ways PA online poker players can make it to the 2023 WSOP.
2023 WSOP $10,000 Main Event satellites
WSOP will award three more $10,000 Main Event seats to winners of satellites in April. On Sundays, the buy-in is $215. The Saturday April 22 event is a special promotion with a buy-in of $100. Check the WSOP PA app or website for details.
Buy-ins for additional qualifiers this month start as low as $1.

Earn a Main Event seat from WSOP’s freeroll poker tournament
This can be an affordable way into the WSOP, but you’ll have to best the competition. To get a ticket to the freeroll tournament, deposit $10 or more using code VEGAS10 at WSOP.com by April 26. There’s no additional spending requirement or buy-in.
The winner of the freeroll tournament gets a 2023 $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat. If you want to throw your hat in the ring, make sure to register for the freeroll before it starts.

WSOP Frenzy promo drawing
A $3000 WSOP package is up for grabs, which includes a $1,000 2023 WSOP buy-in, hotel accommodations for three nights, $500 for food and beverage, and a travel stipend for your trip.
Opt in to this promo at WSOP and earn up to five entries into the drawing by playing cash games. Each 20 Action Player Points (APPs) earned while playing gets you one drawing entry.
Don’t delay, because the promo requires players to play at least three days during the promo period, earning at least one APP each day. “Heads up” cash games aren’t included in the promotion.
Just one winner will get the WSOP prize package in the drawing on April 25.
