Another bitter Pennsylvania winter is coming to an end, and it’s time to plan some springtime fun. PA casinos in Philadelphia have full schedules of entertainment to help us celebrate the arrival of spring.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia hosts live music and comedy shows

The Event Center at Rivers Casino Philadelphia offers something for everyone with this lineup of live musical and comedy acts:

  • March 24: Yesterday – The Beatles Tribute (7 p.m.)
  • March 25: The Ohio Players (8 p.m.)
  • April 6: Aunt Mary Pat, The “Clocking Out” Comedy Tour (7 p.m.)
  • April 14: Stokley, Grammy Nominated R & B Artist (8 p.m.)
  • April 29: The Marlon Wayans Comedy Show (8 p.m.)
  • May 12: Peabo Bryson (8 p.m.)
  • May 19: Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti (8 p.m.)
  • May 26: Tower of Power, Funk and Soul Band (8 p.m.)

DJs get the party started at Live! Casino Philadelphia

Live! Casino Philadelphia also has a regular rotation of DJs planned for this spring to get the party started. DJs will get the music going almost every night at the casino’s Center Bar at 7 p.m.

Live Casino Philadelphia’s other entertainment offerings this spring include a headline comedian and a bunch of entertaining bands.

Boxing tournament and Memorial Day party coming to Harrah’s Philadelphia

Golden Gloves Regional Tournament

Harrah’s Philadelphia is hosting one of the biggest amateur sporting events in the state this spring. The 2023 Golden Gloves Regional Tournament will take over Harrah’s on Saturday, April 15, with 20 weight classes contested.

The best fighters from the Central and Eastern Divisions will square off and winners will advance to the state and perhaps national competition, which is an Olympic Qualifying event. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the first bout scheduled for 6 p.m.

Memorial Day Dance Party

On Saturday, May 27, Harrah’s is hosting one of the best Memorial Day parties around. Get out your fanciest white shirt for the All-White Indoor/Outdoor Dance Party, hosted by radio station WDAS.

White attire is required and the dress code prohibits hats, sneakers, hoodies, athletic gear, plain T-shirts, baggy pants and strongly encourages collared shirts. Participants must be 21 to enter. The party begins at 9 p.m. and runs until 2 a.m.
