The NHL is headed to your couch. Earlier this month, BetMGM Casino PA launched a number of NHL-branded casino games including roulette, blackjack, baccarat and Dream Catcher, a new live Money Wheel game. The games are available to players in Pennsylvania right now.
So fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers can now find plenty of NHL action between games, too.
BetMGM’s NHL casino games bring the energy
“The launch of these one-of-a-kind games further strengthens our relationship with the NHL,” Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s Director of Gaming said in a news release. “…We’re thrilled that our players will have the ability to ‘drop the puck’ with BetMGM.”
The new games, which were developed in partnership with Evolution, take players inside their favorite NHL stadium with 3D animations that help capture all the excitement of a hockey arena. The NHL logo is featured in each game, along with the logos of your hometown team. And if players are seeking even more realism, each game also features a “go live” button that takes you right into a live dealer version of the game reminiscent of the casino floor.
Hockey fans will be happy with the latest offerings from Evolution, which also helped produce a live dealer version of blackjack tied to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In NHL Blackjack, players “sit” at a table that captures the atmosphere inside a hockey arena. Players can also move virtually between seats.
NHL Roulette provides a feel and ball movements similar to the in-person experience at your favorite casino. The game also utilizes interactive results and statistics.
Meanwhile, the NHL-branded baccarat game contains many of the same features and gameplay that you would find on a casino floor. And Dream Catcher brings the excitement of a spinning wheel to NHL fans playing at BetMGM. Players wager on which number they believe the wheel will stop on. If they are right, they win – often with strong odds or an occasional multiplier in return.
Overall, the wheel includes six numbers, 54 segments and two multipliers. The segments pay out based on a pre-assigned proportion. For example, a 10 gives bettors a 10:1 return, whereas a single segment 40 brings 40:1 odds in return.
BetMGM Casino NHL games are now live
All these games are currently live for BetMGM players. And according to Jason Jazayeri, NHL Vice President of Business Development, the partnership between BetMGM and the NHL will provide even more in the months ahead.
