The second half of the MLB season begins Thursday and Pennsylvania sportsbooks are doing their best to get you back in the game. A number of promotions and other incentives can help turn your Philadelphia Phillies fandom into a bonus at the betting apps.

BetMGM is turning your casino play into sportsbook credit

At BetMGM Casino PA, players who wager at least $50 on casino games can get a free $10 bet at BetMGM Sportsbook. The offer is titled Home Run Hero Bet and Get and is available on the BetMGM promotions page.

Here are the details:

  • Opt in to the Home Run Hero Bet and Get promotion.
  • Place at least $50 in wagers on casino games.
  • Receive a $10 free bet that you can place on the Philadelphia Phillies or any other MLB team.
  • Offer is available July 18-24.

Phillies home runs bring another bonus

Another from BetMGM gives you a free bet every time the Phillies hit a home run in the first inning. If the Phillies connect for a long ball in the opening frame, players can get a free bet at BetMGM the next day.

Here’s how it works:

  • Opt in to the promotion (offer is available the day after a game when the Phillies hit a home run in the first inning).
  • Place a $1 wager on any sport and receive your $10 free bet.

Free bets can not be withdrawn or cashed out, and can only be used once. They are not included in any winnings, and must be used within seven days.

FanDuel MLB promo focuses on World Series futures

FanDuel Sportsbook PA also has an interesting promotion available for the Phillies or any other team you choose.

Players who place an outright wager on a MLB team to win the World Series at FanDuel can get a bonus in free bets for each game the chosen team wins from July 21-31. In addition, players will also get a free bet to use on the 2022 MLB Playoffs.

Here’s how to cash in:

  • Make a straight wager on a MLB team to win the 2022 World Series by 1 p.m. on July 21.
  • One eligible wager per person. The first placed wager after opting in will count towards this promotion.
  • Wagers between $50 and $149 will receive a $5 bonus in free bets for each game your selected team wins between July 21 and July 31. Furthermore, players will receive a $25 free bet to use on the 2022 MLB Playoffs.
  • Wagers of $150 or greater will receive a $15 bonus in free bets for each game your selected team wins, along with a $75 free bet to use on the MLB Playoffs.

At press time, the Philadelphia Phillies were +4000 to win the World Series at FanDuel. The New York Yankees are the favorites at +300, and the LA Dodgers are second at +350.

BetRivers delivers a bonus for your weekend baseball wagers

Lastly, BetRivers PA also has a single game parlay promotion for your Saturday baseball bets. Any BetRivers player who places $25 or more on a single game parlay on any Saturday MLB game will receive a $10 free bet!

Odds must be -200 or greater to qualify. The free bet loads within 30 minutes of placing a qualifying wager and will also expire after seven days.

The Phillies start their second half Friday with a home three-game series against the Chicago Cubs.

BetMGM Summer Classic poker tournament is already underway

Additionally, BetMGM is spreading the baseball vibes to poker players, too. The Summer Classic Series, a baseball-themed poker tournament, will be held in Pennsylvania from July 17-24.

It includes 25 events and over $175,000 in guaranteed prize pools, with buy-ins ranging from $30 to $535.

At least three poker tournaments will be held each day and players must be located within Pennsylvania to play. Participants may join through either BetMGM Poker or Borgata Poker.

The same tournament is also offered for players in New Jersey and Michigan, but each tournament is ringed-in, which means the competition (including players and prize money) is limited to that specific state.

“We’re excited to follow-up on the momentum we gathered in Las Vegas through this month’s online event, the Summer Classic,” said Luke Staudenmaier, the Director of Poker at BetMGM. “The Classic, which spotlights America’s pastime, features buy-in levels and game variants for all players.”
