New online casinos in Pennsylvania are always opening their virtual doors for business, ready and hopeful to gain their share of one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing online gaming and sports betting markets.

Nearly 20 PA online casinos are already in business in the Keystone State, and more will continue to join the party in the coming months and years. This is largely due to the fact that state law allows for land-based casinos to have unlimited online partnerships, which thereby creates endless potential opportunities for iGaming operators to obtain licenses.

Which will be the next online casinos to launch in Pennsylvania, though? Keep reading to find out which iGaming operators will soon be launching.

PA Online Casinos coming soon

WynnBET PA

By many accounts, WynnBET Casino PA will be going live in 2022. When that happens, Wynn’s online gaming division will be operational in 10 states across the nation, provided it doesn’t launch elsewhere beforehand.

Wynn Resorts recently expressed a renewed commitment toward iGaming and sports betting, and since Pennsylvania is also a top sports betting market, it would likely pursue an online sportsbook license, too.

Like many others, WynnBET (WSI US, LLC) has its iGaming application status still pending since submitting it in Oct. 2021. But, it has yet to submit the separate required sports wagering application, and recent indications show it may prioritize Massachusetts, where it already has a strong brick-and-mortar presence with Encore Boston Harbor.

Golden Nugget Casino PA

Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) is the only operator on this list whose application is a Qualified Gaming Entity (QGE), which allows it to potentially operate within Pennsylvania by using a qualified out-of-state license. In this case, that license would hypothetically be recognized from New Jersey, where Golden Nugget is an established brand, both online and in the retail setting.

Initially, Golden Nugget Casino was one of two operators to apply for a QGE license, with BetMGM being the other. However, BetMGM changed paths and opted to partner with two different land-based casinos for its two online gaming brands.

BetMGM Casino partnered with Penn National and Borgata Casino with Rivers Philadelphia.

That course correction proved beneficial for BetMGM, who’s been operational in PA since Dec. 2020. By becoming a full iGaming operator, BetMGM is also able to hold a sports betting license. QGE operators cannot do this.

Like BetMGM, Golden Nugget submitted its QGE application in 2020, though its status is still stuck on pending. That could change soon, though, as DraftKings acquired GNOG on May 5, 2022, and is already operational in Pennsylvania.

FBG Enterprises / Fanatics

Fanatics has long been a household name in the sports world, and last year, the company expressed its desire to expand into sports betting and gaming.

Furthermore, it put its money where its mouth was by hiring former FanDuel CEO Matt King. Its team also includes Ari Borod, former COO of The Action Network, Inc., and Scot McClintic, who was the former SVP of iGaming at Paysafe Group and Chief Product Officer/General Manager of Barstool Sportsbook.

Fanatics applied for iGaming and sports wagering licenses in Pennsylvania as FBG Enterprises on April 26, 2022. Its “pending” status will likely remain unchanged for a while.

Even more recently, it also filed to trademark the new BetFanatics brand, which it will use for mobile iGaming, sports betting, and fantasy sports applications.

The company is also growing at a rapid pace, with dozens of available jobs posted in its gaming and betting department alone.

Fubo Sportsbook Pennsylvania

Fubo Sportsbook first came onto the radar in Aug. 2021, when it was approved to operate in Iowa. It launched in early November, a little over two months later, and then opened its doors for business in Arizona in December

Fubo also applied for both iGaming and sports wagering operator licenses in Pennsylvania. Both applications still are in status pending since Dec. 2021

Should the PGCB approve Fubo’s licenses, it would likely move quickly, just the same as it did in Iowa and Arizona. It brings a unique offering to the market, pairing its subscription streaming service with an interactive sports betting experience, and will be ready to integrate its sportsbook as soon as it can legally do so.

Mr Vegas Casino PA

Mr Vegas Casino looks to open in Pennsylvania in 2023 after announcing a partnership with Caesars this past April

Its parent company, Videoslots Group, is an established international online casino, and its partnership with Caesars can only give it more credibility in PA’s competitive online casino market.

Videoslots also hinted at looking at further expansion into other states after launching in Pennsylvania. However, as of now, it has yet to submit an iGaming operator application to the PCGB.

PlayStar Casino PA

PlayStar’s website says it was “established to create an online casino experience like no other for players across the USA.”

The company announced its plans to launch PlayStar Online Casino Pennsylvania in partnership with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) in July 2021, its second planned market to enter behind New Jersey.

Both PlayStar and GiG already hold licenses in NJ, though the casino has not yet gone live.

As far as PA is concerned, PlayStar submitted an iGaming application on Dec. 27, 2021. GiG has yet to do the same.

High 5 Games

High 5 Games (H5G) is the industry’s largest independent casino games provider. Founded in 1995, H5G has expanded its slot collection into iGaming through the years and now serves more than 150 countries, while offering more than 500 games worldwide.

High 5 was granted approval for licensure as an iGaming operator on May 18, 2022, making Pennsylvania its fourth licensed state behind New Jersey, Michigan, and Connecticut. In those states, H5G has already forged partnerships with companies such as GAN, BetMGM, Borgata, Golden Nugget, BetRivers, and PokerStars. Soon, a High 5 Casino could make its way to PA.

Tropicana online casino

The Tropicana casino brand is well-known in neighboring New Jersey, but it has yet to make it over to Pennsylvania. With Caesars recently rolling out a brand new online casino app, it’s possible that it tries to add more skins into the mix. Tropicana online casino PA could be one of them.

Bally’s Casino PA

Bally’s is another big casino brand that has set its sights on Pennsylvania. Bally’s Corporation is the proposed developer of a College Township, Centre County mini-casino, which is still awaiting awaiting approval. If the Category 4 casino receives regulatory approval and goes up at the Nittany Mall location, it’s quite possible PA residents will also get a Bally online casino.
