The Blazin’ 5 fires are burning. Colin Cowherd’s picks went 3-2 in Week 11 after going 4-1 in Week 10. That’s back-to-back winning weeks for the first time during the 2021 NFL season for “The Herd” host.

But Colin haters and faders can take some solace. During his season-long predictions, he said the Philadelphia Eagles would only win three games. The Birds beat the New Orleans Saints and improved to 5-6. Cowherd also picked the Saints (+2) to cover and upset the Eagles.

During Friday’s episode of “The Herd” he seems to cast quite a wide net for his Super Bowl LVI winners (and beyond). He named his “confetti quarterbacks”– the quarterbacks he can see winning the Super Bowl this year or in the future and holding the trophy as confetti rains overhead.

  • Patrick Mahomes
  • Josh Allen
  • Dak Prescott
  • Tom Brady
  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Kyler Murray
  • Russell Wilson

Indianapolis Colts (+7) vs. Buffalo Bills

Cowherd pick: Colts

Colin’s final score: Bills 26, Colts 23

Cowherd said:

“I like the Colts getting seven points even though I think Buffalo will win. It’s going to be rainy, wet weather. The Colts defense forces turnovers and I like their offense. The last seven games they are 5-2 and Wentz has 104 passer rating and has thrown zero interceptions in seven of his last eight starts. Do we overvalue the Bills because of a Mike Tyson quality to bury bad quarterbacks? They are a little overvalued. I think the game will be played between the 20s.”

Final score: Colts 41, Bills 16

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings (+1)

Cowherd pick: Vikings

Colin’s final score: Vikings 28, Packers 27

Cowherd said:

“The Vikings are the only team in the NFL who have led every game by at least seven points. Their defense leads the league in sacks and Aaron Rodgers has had a bad year against pressure. His passer rating under pressure is 14.9. The Vikings offense is explosive. It’s one of only four offenses with 250 passing yards and 125+ rushing yards per game. Kirk Cousins has been very effective against the Packers. The Packers are beat up. I pick an upset every week and here it is.”

Final score: Vikings 34, Packers 31

New Orleans Saints (+2) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Cowherd pick: Saints

Colin’s final score: Saints 26, Eagles 24

Cowherd said:

“I can’t believe the Saints are getting points, they are the better team. I’ll take the Saints to win plus the +2. They are coming off back-to-back losses but they outgained both opponents. They are overlooked. They are 4-0 ATS as an underdog. Sean Payton is a great underdog coach. Philadelphia’s defense is not going to ravage a backup quarterback. They haven’t won a home game this year. The Eagles defense ranks last in completion percentage allowed (74%), 27th in opponents passer rating (102.1), 25th in total sacks (18). You can beat Philly in Philly with a backup. Their defense is not going to shut the Saints down. Sean Payton will come up with tricks.”

Final score: Eagles 40, Saints 29

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks (+1.5)

Colin’s pick: Seahawks

Colin’s final score: Seahawks 27, Cardinals 23

Cowherd said:

“Seattle’s season is on the line. The line is only 1.5. Seahawks got shut out and Russel is 35-11 off of losses. He’s the best off-a-loss quarterback in the league. Kyler Murray’s ankle isn’t right. They might pull him because Arizona has a bye next week. This is not as urgent for Arizona. Season on the line. Russel Wilson a little healthier. They got humiliated.”

Final score: Cardinals 23, Seahawks 13

Pittsburgh Steelers (+6) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Cowherd pick: Steelers

Colin’s final score: Steelers 24, Chargers 21

Cowherd said:

“Went back and forth but I am going to take Pittsburgh. Mike Tomlin is a great underdog coach. He’s also very effective against first and second year quarterbacks. First or second year quarterbacks against the Steelers in the Mike Tomlin era are 19-34 with a 57.8 completion percentage and a 78 passer rating. Justin Herbert has regressed in the last month. The Chargers defense is the worst rushing defense and the Steelers offense have had five straight games with over 100 yards rushing. This will be almost a home game for the Steelers.”

Final score: Chargers 41, Steelers 37
