Colin Cowherd's Blazin' 5 Picks Against The Spread for NFL Week 10

It hasn’t been the best year for Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 picks. Through nine weeks of NFL betting action, he is 18-23-1 and he’s only had a +.500 record one week.

During Friday’s episode of “The Herd,” Cowherd said:

“My college picks have been on fire. This has been my worst year ever for the NFL. I love my picks this week and I think we are going to have an underdog weekend. Like Miami last night, it’s the season for them.”

In Week 10, he turned his best week of picks going 4-1. Only his “favorite bet of the year, Cleveland +2.5” lost.

During Cowherd’s season-long predictions, he predicted the Philadelphia Eagles would win three games. The Birds beat the Denver Broncos in Week 10 to improve to 4-6. Rejoice Eagles fans (and Colin Cowherd haters), it wasn’t a completely winning week for “The Herd” host.

“The only favorite I like this weekend. When good teams get embarrassed at home they are going to be in an angry mood. I don’t care that Dak was bad last week, he’s been great all year. Michael Gallup is back at receiver. The Falcons have not won-back-to-back games all season. They have a bad o-line and even when Dallas lost last week they got excellent pressure on Bridgewater. This Falcons defense is bad.”

In the last couple of weeks, it has been great. Both QBs will face pressure but Baker has been great under pressure because he has a running game and outlets. He has the highest passer rating under pressure. Will Mac Jones be good under pressure? I don’t think so. He’s completed less than 20 passes in three of his last four starts. New England’s wins this year have come against first or second year quarterbacks.”

“Upset! I’m taking the Lions to beat the Steelers. You’re going to give this Steelers offense eight points? The Lions are off a bye. Half of their losses this year are by nine or fewer. The Steelers haven’t beaten an opponent by more than 8 all year. Their offense is a mess. It ranks 23rd in ppg and 27th in yards-per-play. Pittsburgh may win the game, but you can’t give Detroit eight points against Pittsburgh.”

He’s been sacked 27 times. Now that Henry is gone they are going to be more reliant on him and a line that doesn’t protect him. It’s not like their offense was great last week against the Rams. They got two pick-sixes.”

“Because the Chargers are so fun with Justin Herbert they are a little overvalued. Minnesota has lost by one possession in 7 of 8 games. Only two other teams have more 30-point games. Kirk Cousins on the road ranks first with 10 TDs and 0 INTs and fourth in passer rating. The Chargers have the worst rushing defense in the league. It’s not a real road game. Half the stadium is going to be purple.”
