Before making his NFL Week 7 picks, Colin Cowherd admitted on The Herd that he was struggling with his Blazin’ 5 picks.
“I’ve not gotten off to a great start. I’ve been doing this for 20 years and I hit about 57% which is what pro betters make. Last year with COVID, I struggled. This year I stink. I don’t know what the reason is. I’m doing a lot of voodoo at home.”
Despite being less confident he still said he “loved” the Philadelphia Eagles to pull an upset on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Eagles lost 33-22 and Derek Carr had the second-highest completion percentage in NFL history.
Through seven weeks, Cowherd has yet to post a plus .500 record.

“Analytics matter, especially on defense. The Bengals defense gives up 18 ppg, that’s fifth-best in the league. Analytically, they are a top 3-to-4 run defense. We know they can score. Joe Burrow is top six and completion percentage, passer rating. Ja’Marr Chase is a home run. Four of the Ravens last six games have been decided by one possession. Three of their last five wins have come on the last drive of the game. The Ravens have played three straight, highly emotional games. My daughter is going to be at this game.”
Actual final score: Bengals 41, Ravens 17
