Cheers! Drink service on the gaming floor and bar seating returned to casinos in Pennsylvania on April 4.

Coronavirus mitigation measures nixed drinks at casinos since March 2020, and over one year later, patrons can now sit at the bar, servers can offer alcoholic drinks to guests at slots and table games, and you do not have to order food in order to get a drink.

The announcement came in March and these jackpot winners at Pennsylvania casinos had lots of other reasons for a celebratory toast.

March definitely came in like a lion for the winners, especially some of the six-figure winners listed below.

March was Problem Gambling Awareness month

March was Problem Gambling Awareness Month. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and others upped their efforts to educate and raise awareness about the effects of gambling disorders.

Some resources and responsible gambling tools include:

  • The PA Self-Exclusion program now allows individuals to ban themselves from iGaming, Fantasy Contests, and Video Gaming Terminals, or VGTs.
  • www.ResponsiblePlay.pa.gov, a new website dedicated to addressing problem gambling, with information and links to identify a potential gambling problem and find help.
  • The PlayPause program from GeoComply and Conscious Gaming allows individuals to self-exclude from online casino sites across state lines. This important RG tool debuted in PA at BetMGM in late December 2020.
  • Options for participants to limit online play or their spending at operator websites. That includes fantasy contests, online casino games, online poker, and/or online sports betting.
