A restaurant worker who has been unemployed since April due to COVID-19 closures had a late-night stroke of luck in November.
Lynn, from Allentown, PA, was playing Divine Fortune at BetRivers online casino on her phone. Her husband, next to her on the sofa, was watching late-night TV.
She hit the jackpot for $443,480.64 on a $3 bet.
Her husband didn’t believe her until she showed him the screen; then he screamed louder than her.
In a press release from Rush Street Interactive, which operates BetRivers, Lynn said:
“We were both in shock. This is just insane, and the money couldn’t come at a better time. It’s going to be a great Christmas!”
With the jackpot winnings, she plans to pay off her house, car and other debts.
